Lets not forget
he is the only Angel to ever wear his full name (first ,last) on his uniform due to the fact that there was another R. Jackson on the club during his 2nd tour of duty for the Angels.

Hey, you're right...
I forgot all about that.
“Papa Jack’s” current role with that other team reminds us of just how many great Angel hitting coach options we could have taken in the stead of Mickey Hacking Hatcher.
Wait, why isn’t Rod Carew the Angels’ hitting coach?
Now, put Chris Pritchett at first, Bobby Rose at second, Pete Coachmen at third, and let's go win.

Rod was
He was the Angels Hitting Coach at one time, but that did not work out so well for the club. Some benefited from him while others struggled. Lazy G is one of those that credits Carew with helping him early in his career.
