I love how Whicker says he’s not even sure who Sam Miller is. It makes it look like Whicker’s amazed that anyone has the audacity to question him and refute his arguments with things called numbers. How dare he?

I think the main point is the one Miller makes in his last rebuttal – if Frankie didn’t get 69 save opportunities (something completely out of his control), he wouldn’t even be mentioned. I think if he’d only blown one or two of those games, there might be a legitimate argument. But 62 out of 69 isn’t spectacular. Right place, right time does not equal MVP.
