Mariners found their man
The self proclaimed 2008 AL West Champions have apparently settled on their new manager.
http://blog.seattletimes.nwsource.com/mariners/2008/11/18/wakamatsu_gets_job.html
Wakamatsu is no stranger to this division having spent time with both the A's and Rangers. Thoughts and insight? I was personally a little surprised by the choice, but I have not really been following the hunt for their next manager. Spring time can not come quick enough......reaction!

Disappointment proves that expectations were mistaken.......ladies and gentlemen your 2008 Buffalo Bills.....

Wakamatsu, Kahanamoku, Miyagi, Tojo .... what's the difference?
The Mariners will still suck ass.

VERY Clever.
And borderline racist.
(To answer your question, ones a baseball manager, ones a surfer I believe, and one taught karate in Karate Kid?, Don’t know Tojo)

How's about this for your judgment pleasure
Wakamatsu, Long Duck Dong, Tokyo Rose, That Asian dude with the Hello Kitty vest from “Air Guitar Nation.” What’s the difference, the Mariners will STILL suck ass.
You find it racist, yet are turned on by the cleverness of it all?
The only thing you and your long-suffering ilk in the Pacific Northwest ought to be judging is your team’s year-by-year inability to advance to the pennant. Go back to your latte.

Anyone now how to say 'trade me'
in Japanese?
Now, put Chris Pritchett at first, Bobby Rose at second, Pete Coachmen at third, and let's go win.

according to my mac translator...
勝つことができる天使のようなチームに神の愛のために私を交換しなさい
means, trade me for the love of god, to a team that can win, like the angels
no idea how to pronounce it though
Mr Moreno,
Please re-sign Tex.
Sincerely yours,
Halo fans everywhere

Catcher turned Manager?
We have a pretty good one don’t we? Maybe it’s not such a bad idea. Catcher’s are one of the smartest players on the field.. after pitchers.
But someone said it all.. it won’t matter. The Mariners will be saying “Damn.. we suck again!”
Light up the Freakin Halo!
