Rory recovering from surgery
Rory Markas had a blood clot removed today. Full recovery expected, but only if he doesn't have to listen to Steve Physioc in his absence.

You don't think Hud had anything to do with this?
Working in the booth with Hud would probably give anyone a blood clot. Although I love me some Hud.
Keep in mind, I don't know wtf i'm talking about.

don't wish ill on anyone, but....
I think Rory is the worst Angels broadcaster, and got even more badder and worserer when he started trying to act like Rex in the second half… dude should go elsewhere. once he’s better that is.

Really?
Well then, who is the best Angels broadcaster, in your opinion?
For my part, I consider him the best of the current crop, and one of my favorites all-time. Not only does he deliver cogent play-by-play, but he has a marvelous sense of irony as well. My best wishes for his speedy recovery.

Best Angels broadcaster, in my opinion...
Hud. He’s entertaining and makes the game a joy to watch. I don’t need amazing play-by-play on TV, so really I only need color commentators. If it were the radio, though, I would lean more towards Rory or Phys.

Agreed...
My wife was vocally annoyed when we’d see a Rory broadcast. I was silently annoyed. I just wasn’t entertained by the guy. I like Phys, but he’s really just the straight man for Hud.
Personally, I don’t need play-by-play on TV… I have eyes for that. I just want the commentary and humor. For my money, I’d like to see a Hud/Gubi tandem. Let them battle out the pitcher/hitter perspectives and be their usual goofy selves.
