Frankie softening contract demands
Looks like Frankie wants more bidders. Either his playoff performance hurt him more than expected, his contract demands are too high, or ownership collusion is conspiring against paying him what he wants. In any case, he'll have some suitors. Get him, Arte!

I expected this. Reasons
1. Economy
2. No one pays a closer that much
3. He makes you pee in your pants when game is tied in the 9th.
4. He blew 7 saves last year, too much for an elite legend closer, which Frankie thinks he is.
Frankly, I think Arredondo will be really good. He’ll be a better fit (That’s what she said!)

Just one exception. Don’t expect Arredondo to be our closer in the beginning. Dondo could be our backup just in case Shields stinks it up.
