Who ever though Wood was going to be tearing up Winter League, well let me tell you something. Your wrong!!! I believe he'll turn this spell around. Also hope angels don't sign Teixeria. I also doubt Mr. Moreno will pay him >$150 mill. Angels got a younger, cheaper alternative in Kendry Morales. Sean Rodriguez, soon to be prime second baseman is tearing up Winter Leagues.

i doubt he’s going to suck this bad all “season”, just like i doubt S-Rod will keep up his pace. lets wait and see what happens when he gets comfortable.

Angel Prospects

I think we are starting to see the Angels prospects are not as good as they were once billed. I am not convinced Brandon Wood will ever be a strong player at the big league level. .280 and 15 HR is more likely than .300 and 30.

I wish everyone would get off this Kendry Morales kick. The guy can’t man 1st base on a regular basis.

Wood

if he can make enough contact to hit .280, there will probably be about 40 HR there. He’s much more likely to hit around .240-.250, and if he does even that well, there will probably be 25+ HR in there.

The real question is what kind of HR's? Off of 4A pitchers? or off of the top qual guys?

Can he hit against the good? can he hit the best? We don’t need 25 HR’s in the regular season then a 2 fer 15 with 8 K’s in the playoffs, because the pitching is better and he’s been well scouted.

Prospects

they are what they are. prospects. the Angels give them a chance or they go somewhere else and get their chance. 1 way or another we’ll find out if their real or not. not many make it in the first place. its all about who can make the adjustments at every level.
