Angels interested in Chad Cordero

And the feeling's mutual...

I like the idea

of bringing in Chad Cordero. He missed basically all of last season due to injury so he would be cheap and we know that he is a decent closer so whether he would close for us or not, he’d be a solid addition to the bullpen.

I like this as well.

Price should be right. Plus he is a local guy, played for CS Fullerton and is from the 909. You know the last Angels closer that was from the 909…oh I don’t know, some guy named Percival. This symmetry is there.

I CALLED IT

last week i said cordero should be a priority go meee.

But seriously, I’m down for this guy, i had no idea he grew up an angels fan, and we need a stable pen.

The dude had a torn labrum...

that is what Bartolo Colon dealt with in 2006-07. Most likely, Cordero’s days as an above average short reliever are over. He was not as good as most people thought anyway.

Pass.

Except Cordero had the surgery Bartolo never did

and is at least 50 pounds lighter

If GA wasn't so Lazy, I'd have something clever here.

Panther

Still, I don’t want to see any multi-year deals for Cordero. Not yet. Maybe a 2-year deal with a club option for a third.

Light Up That Halo!

How do those surgeries typically work out?

Not well. Shoulder surgery is the death knell of a pitching career…

yeah id be hesitant with any pitcher thats had shoulder surgery

i dont see the big problem in a 1/maybe 2 incentive laden deal

Curt Schilling says hi.

Teixeira............Everything else can wait.

No Thanks!

The guy wasn’t a sure fire closer when he was healthy, so why would we want him post-surgery. I will pass for the same reason’s as Jim.

Light up the Freakin Halo!
