I agree.
It drove me crazy how well he always seemed to hit the Angels (throughout his career).
Now, put Chris Pritchett at first, Bobby Rose at second, Pete Coachmen at third, and let's go win.

Fucked up system that considers Ibanez better than Dunn.

Not necessarily
Dunn and Burrel are also Type A. The reason the won’t cost a draft pick is because their teams didn’t offer arbitration at the risk of having to keep them on a 1 year contract for more than they were willing to spend.
Well, I know how the arbitration process works
I just took Howie’s word for it that they weren’t Type-A.

The guy was a bigger butcher in the field than the Green River Killer
Manny was Willie Mays in comparison
You ever feel as if your mind had started to erode?
Manny for left field. No more than two years though.
Recipient of the 2008 "The Iron Man" award from scottnak of Halos Heaven!
Now that we've avoided this mistake, I vote for Tex and Dunn.
Don’t sign anyone who will cost a draft pick.
the beauty of the Ninja
this was a slick move saying Raul was our priority….i have a feeling something big is in the works.
how do you figure?
i think they actually were interested in him to be honest

I think it was to make Boras think we aren't a player for Manny.
Teixeira............Everything else can wait.
No, Manny! Bad Manny!
Big relief. No Raul. Yay. Still………
I can’t believe how many people are willing to sacrifice clubhouse chemistry and, y’know, dignity in their desire of Manny. Anybody who refuses to play because they’re not happy…or worse, ’cause their agent told them not to…has no business being on my team.
The Angels are a class act. Let’s keep it that way.
I don't know...I'm makin' this up as I go.
let me perfectly clear here
i am against signing manny. But not because of his clubhouse chemistry. It is because he cant field, and will cost alot of money. But if we lost out on Tex I think i could be okay with singing Dunn and then manny for 2-45 or 3-60. anything more i a no go for me. The only problem would be that our OF D would suck. If torii gets hurt we could be faced with an OF of Willits/GMJ/Evans in CF, and Dunn/Manny in LF and Vlad in RF. Thats pretty bad defensively (with KMO at first).
Mr Moreno,
Please re-sign Tex.
Sincerely yours,

Manny Might Fit Great
Who can we not beat? The Red Sox. Who does Manny want to beat the most? The Red Sox. It could be the best thing we could do. 3 years 60 Mil.
legen... wait for it... dary
10 mil a year is definitely fair though
is teixeira’s defense and 30 OBP points really worth an extra 13 million a year?
30 OBP points
and about 9 years younger, more power, “star appeal”… I think an extra $13 mill a year sounds about right. Honestly, after next year I bet Philly wishes they gave that deal to Burrell instead.
I'll take Burrell
but only under the condition that we only have to have him for whatever half of the season it is that he shows up for.

YES! Angels "win" the E-banez sweepstakes
Jered Weaver is very happy that Ibanez is out of the division and out of the league.
Raul vs. Jered
27 ABs, 2 doubles, 4 HRs, 6 BBs.
