that was reported by him yesterday
actually, it was more speculation than anything.
how could you not?? Peavy is really cheap (comparatively speaking). he would totally fit into their budget.
Kotch would've had that.
i agree with you
but maybe adding tex and peavy would really cause the payroll to have limited to no speculation
Mr Moreno,
Please re-sign Tex.
Sincerely yours,
Halo fans everywhere

adding tex for so much money means
we need out internal cheap guys. can’t get rid of rookie salary type guys like wood, adenhart, jepsen, aybar. These guys are need because we will be paying much per year for Tex, Vlad, Lackey and Hunter — those 4 alone will account for $70-80M/year. Add in GMJ wasted $10M per and $10M for Speier/shields/Oliver and you have near $100M for 8 guys. Then you need to sign a LFer and you still have figgy, santana, etc. to pay. so we need as many cheap guys.
Now if tex doesn’t sign, then that changes things. Much more money around to spend.
Go Angels!
well
you shift Figgy to LF, Wood to 3B, and Morales to the DH/RF role, giving you a lineup of…
Figgins LF
Kendrick 2B
Teixeira 1B
Guerrero DH/RF
Hunter CF
Napoli C
Morales RF/DH
Wood 3B
Aybar SS
Kotch would've had that.

Peavy would not fit in.
He’s an N.L. pitcher because the number 8 and 9 hole are almost sure outs. Come to the A.L. and see what happens with the DH. Peavy will stay in the N.L.
Seriously? Do you have a clue?
In 42 inning pitched against the AL he has a 3.42 ERA
In 19 innings pitched in an AL park (with a DH) he has a 3.31 ERA
Quit talking shit to talk shit.
19 INNINGS is a SMALL sample size
It might be overstated, but don’t be so harsh with someone making a point. Were those IP in KC? Oakland? It ain’t much to go on.
list of AL fields Peavy has pitched at
Angel Stadium
Jacobs Field
Comerica Field
Kauffman Stadium
Yankee Stadium
Safeco Field
Tropicana Field
Kotch would've had that.

HTM
You’re right I made the mistake of just looking at the last 3 years. My Bad.
For his career in AL parks covering 50.2 inning (still small sample) ERA of 3.23
i was just doing that for Rev
so he knew where Peavy has been in his AL career.
Kotch would've had that.

I let it go the 1st time
It was just a repeat of what he said earlier
*youbetcha
crappy pitcher don’t wanna pitch to DH. He needs those sure outs at the bottom of the order.

Sure it may have been a little harsh, but really needs to come a little stronger than just he sucks because he don’t wanna pitch to a DH.
