If he went to Boston, he’d be under a microscope all the time. The Chowds are crazy about their Sox and he’d be getting death threats if he went into a prolonged slump.

Yes, Boston has won more titles than the Angels in the past 10 years. But why does that make Boston a destination spot when there are about 3-5 other cities where a Mark Teixeira could go and help them win one?

And is Teixeira willing to sacrifice his privacy to win another?
