Season Ticket Price Increase
i for one will be pretty pissed if the Halos don't improve this team. I sit in the Right field MVP and my seats went up $2.50 per ticket. That is $10 per game for my four seats. I had no problem paying my part for an improved offense of at least Tex and then a hope of another bat. Now that Tex is gone and Reagins implying that there might not be another bat....What am I paying more money for...
As is stands right now the payroll will be lower next year without GA, Garland, Tex and Frankie. We have replaced them with Kendry at First, Shield/Dondo at closer, Rivera in right and a AAA pitcher.
I am feeling a bit ripped off right now...
Please share your thoughts on the increase in price with a diminished product that they will be putting in front of us for 82 home games.
Happy Holidays to all angel fans

Then I don’t want to hear about it. haha
Napoli IS the power bat in 2009. Watch.
Roughly 81x4=324 less Del's Deals.

82 games x $10 = $820
Like I said I have no problem spending the upgraded cost if they were upgrading the team….but that sounds like a couple of meals at Maestro’s Ocean Club not Del Taco
That depressed feeling in my stomach is the end of the 2008 Halos season!!!!
You must be ordering

I would cut it down to only 2 seats as a show of my protest, then.
4 is a lot of tickets and cutting down to 2 would only be an increase of $410.
I just don’t understand your logic. You have season tickets after the best regular season in team history. Of course they were going to increase prices based on THAT ALONE. At the time the increase was proposed, it was a logical step.
No free agent signings means nothing to the ticket increase of 2009, IMHO.
Now, if the Halos finish in 2nd in ‘09, and THEN they raise the prices another $2.50 per ticket, THEN I’d be set off. But on the heels of a franchise-record # of wins, I ain’t complaining.

We did not even
renew our tickets, because of the rip off factor. I love the Angels but putting down 3500 is just to much at this point in time. I will still be watching all 162 games though. Maybe head down there for a few.
"Throw some CHED!"
boo-hoo
then go find another free agent signing team to root for. If I had even the money to afford what you already have, I’d be a pig in shit. I’ve been watching and rooting since the days of DiSar, happy as a kid to even make 2-3 games a year (some of those were pretty lousy teams).
If you’re only sitting around waiting for the next big FA to validate our World Series claim and your own ticket “investment,” then go elsewhere. I accept that our ownership, GM, and team are being responsible in a lousy market, and by allowing other investments (prospects) to see if they can pay off.
besides, it was pretty much our own homegrown team that won in ’02. With talented rising prospects (Frankie, Chone), smart moves (Edmonds for AK), and low key FA signings (Appier, Fullmer) that got us there; not breaking the bank and tying our hands for the next 8 years seems like a damned good idea to me.

Fenominal ...get real!
I have been an angel fan for over 30 years, why in the world would I go and root for another team. I feel that a price increase should warrant an increase pay roll and putting the best team on the field as possible. BTW Free Agents are added to teams when you have huge holes that can’t be filled from the farm system, let me know who in our system is proven and ready now to hit 40 HR’s and drive in 110 + RBI’s Like I said I have no problem paying my share to ensure a good winning product. Now is the time we have a solid rotation a hall of famer in RF, we need some pieces to complete the puzzle….
Tell me how management is being responsible when they are increasing the fans cost and not spending money on the gaping holes our lineup has right now. I would have no problem with the team/product of all home grown talent assuming they didn’t jack up the price of tickets. I am all for the youth movement just dont charge me more to see the kids play. Also the 02 team I believe I was paying $5 per ticket and it was buy one get one free….dont tell me what I already know!
Let me know and I will be more than happy to throw you some sunday day games so you can be “pig in shit”
That depressed feeling in my stomach is the end of the 2008 Halos season!!!!
What if Holiday was promised for 2010?
Even though we all know the 09 FA class won’t compare to the 2010 class, would you still be upset over current ticket price increases if Reagans becomes the Cashman of 2010?
What if GMJ leaves, Holliday becomes our new left fielder and Reagans finds a way to bring a front line pitcher to Anaheim (Harden, Bedard, Peavy?). Rivera would be our RF and maybe Vlad would be open to signing an extension to strictly DH in his final years.
I for one am excited to go to the games this year to watch one of the youngest infields in baseball. I’d much rather see players blossom towards reaching their potential than a field full of low ceiling veterans. Oakland has had a very competitive roster in recent years and I feel we’re fortunate this coming season is not necessarily one of them. If we can win our division this year (and I fully expect us to, with or without any new FA moves) then I have faith the 09-10 offseason will be good to us.
I think it’s time to realize how lucky we are for being able to play a full infield of rookies & second year players, watch how they grow or struggle and still be able to win our division due to the lack of other powerhouses we’re competing against.
Justifying the ticket price increase is tough to swallow for 09 but it’s giving up our seat for 2010 that really makes me nervous. Not to mention the All-Star game…
Wrong about Holliday.
If he has a great 2009 season, and he becomes a FA, he will become a Yankee and play LF, if on the of chance the Yanks don’t sign the ManRam. Even then, they could move ManRam to DH and put Holliday in left.
All they have to do is decide they want him and he is theirs. We’d have zero chance to get him. Even if we traded for him at the deadline and got him all we’d do is make a “fair” offer, while the Yanks could and would easily outbid us with some of their petty cash.
Bank it.
