Good, I'm glad Oliver is going to be back next season.
I always felt secure when Soth put the ball in his hand, whether he ended up having a good night or not. I remember he saved a few messes from going way south that Weaver and Garland started.

Would have preferred the two top-50 draft picks, but.....
… this is just fine, too.

Good
Would’ve been an easy couple of draft picks, but I think the FO sent a clear message that they wanted him back when they offered arbitration—many clubs were probably going to be reluctant to take Oliver on if it meant giving up draft picks.
Hooray for Cousin Oliver!

Keep the 2 Draft Picks
You can’t underestimate the value of having a strong bullpen. D Oliver is a solid guy who can do a lot of things for you.

Very Cool.
When I'm not at the stadium, I'd rather be watching my Halos back in Costa Rica!

Good News
After a horrendous April in 2007, he’s been a rock in the ‘pen. He’s actually more effective against righties, but this is one of the reasons that he can pitch effectively for more than one inning at a time.

One less worry.
Now to see if there will be any other substantive signings around the corner.

It would be nice to add Juan Cruz to the Angels bullpen.
I’m curious what kind of market will develop for this power right-hander. I suspect he’ll sign with somebody this week.

Tremendous
With K-Rod gone, our bullpen really needed Oliver to return. And I really like the Juan Cruz idea. Good call ’81.

Favorite Angels reliever over the last two years
good to have him back. Probably more reliable since May ’07 than anyone else in the bullpen.

good news
A Lefty who you can trust with the ball in his hand,
is better than two prospects (imo).

To rephrase the old aphorism
A lefty in hand is worth two in the minors.
