Lackey making his spring debut today, fresh off a good bullpen session. Lackey is from Abilene Texas, which golden-throated Steve Physioc is due to remind you about approximately 1,345,612 times this season.

Went to ST this last weekend. It was really fun. Weather was beautiful and the stadium is pretty nice. Even our crappy seats in right field were good because they're so close to the field. It was more crowded than I expected.

If you ever go to Tempe, eat breakfast at Crackers & Co.

My only complaint is that the scoreboard at Tempe Diablo is a complete hunk of shit. However, having beer vendors in the stands made up for it.

A pre-game would be nice.
Wonder if during the season we will get pre-game Angel talk or infomercials. I think the Dodgers have 1hr pre-game with call ins. Wouldn't that be something.

Lackey
Was he on a strict pitch count?  Hard to figure out why he would have been pulled when he was (looking at the box score, anyway).

by jjackflash on Mar 10, 2008 2:02 PM PDT reply actions

Yes...
not sure what he ended up with, but while driving in the car, I heard Terry say he was limited to 20 pitches.  He was struggling at the outset, BB'ing the first two batters.  He got a 5-3 DP to end the first without any damage (whew!).
Let's go, Spiezio!
