Vlad, Anderson lead offense vs. Royals Sluggers collect two extra-base hits each; Garland strong
By Lyle Spencer / MLB.com
Anyone else think Lyle Spencer is being a bit generous here? If not downright delusional?
What's wrong with this headline? First off - the Angels lost. So, how could Vlad and Anderson lead the offense? What were they leading the offense to? Defeat? At first glance, wouldn't most people assume, based on that headline, that the Angels won?
Secondly, Garland gave up 3 earned runs in 4 innings. What is "strong" about that? Maybe he was strong smelling, but I certainly wouldn't classify it as a strong outing.
Rex Hudler is the only guy who's allowed to be Mr. Delusional Angels Fanboy. As a member of the press, shouldn't Lyle Spencer be a bit more realistic with his headlines?
