O'Day

Assuming he will be added to the 40-Man Roster to start the season.

I see no reason they don't add him to the 40 man

There are only 39 players on it right now, and Haynes probably wont be on it much longer.

Kotchman > MORALES > Quinlan

I guess I can see the wisdom in keeping Q for now rather than just letting him go for nothing, and giving Morales regular work in SLC, but I sure do like Morales.

...a tough call, logistically...

...the team may want K-Mo to get regular ABs in Salt Lake, but he is far superior to Quinlan (and the half-baked scheme to put Rivera at 1B).

I dont like Quinlan at all

but I can see why they would keep him since he can play 3rd

Get rid of Quinlan

Honestly,

When the line up is displayed like this, it doesn't really seem that bad. I think that we will be alright. Just gotta hope Big John and Esco get better in May.

I'd love to see Dustin get the first shot and the 5th spot and if that doesn't work give Nick a shot.

You guys in California really do live in heaven, the Angels are in town for more than just six games and there is Jack in the Box within 200 miles.

Checking in from BCB-disregard

Checking out what it's new format will be like. Hopefully there is a way to turn off avatars!

Just from a 'pen perspective

I'd rather keep Moseley out of the rotation. We will have a lesser (and potentially more fragile) rotation for April/May than we would have hoped for and I suspect the bullpen will have to do a couple of longer stints (particularly if Santana has to pitch in the daytime, away from home, on a Tuesday or Wednesday, when the moon is full, or on any other occasion that might cause him to turn into a gibbering mess).

We need someone in the bullpen who can give you 3 innings. That man is called Dustin.

I see red people

Am I the only one...

Who sees this silver lining in Esco and Lackey getting a late start.

I think that if Santana can stay focused for 5-6 innings, our bullpen should be able to close the games out. I think Saunders is a pretty solid pitcher. And with Garland and the Weave I can see us getting a lot of good quality starts.

Then come May when most of the Big League Pitching has already thrown 2 months worth of pitching, we get a fresh Lackey and Escobar to kind of pump new life into our rotation.

That's an awfully big IF ...

and I am one of the biggest Santana supporters! It is more like IF he can maintain positive consistency.

I think that if Santana can stay focused for 5-6 innings

I really agree with you on the delayed entry of our top dogs into the rotation ... it will allow them to be bigger for us down the stretch and better-positioned for a deep playoff run.
