Would anyone else rather see Woods in the line up?
Maybe I'm a sucker. Or maybe I'd just like to see Woods get some big league at bat conditioning, but I'd like to see him start at 3rd Base. And then move Figgins to start at Short-Stop. Izturis could back up 3rd, where he played a lot last year and Aybar could back up Figgins at Short.

I'm not sold on Woods yet
but I think we might be able to give Wood a shot somewhere along the line.
He's been the definition of "all or nothing" in spring training thus far (only 4 hits, 3 of them homers), but I think it's pretty typical of him to start slow at each level of baseball, and then pick it up and catch fire shortly thereafter. I'd like him for the power he'd bring, but he's a liability in making contact or hitting for average right now.

4 for 35 with 15 strike outs and no walks
are you kidding. He is not nearly ready
I am a fair weather fan so the Angels better win!

oh man
we signed tiger?!?!
brandon WOOD is not ready by any means. Isnt he hitting like .100 right now against minor leaguers and guys working their kinks out?
He needs at least 2-3 months in AAA to get in a rhythm before he comes up here. Even then, I dont like figgins at short.

Pitchers working their kinks out
ergo, aren't the hitters doing likewise? I think the adage about spring training is that it generally favors pitchers when both hitters and pitchers are working off their rust.
His ridiculously bad numbers thus far (combined with the power he displays on contact) says to me that he's just over-exerting himself in trying to prove his worth on the roster. Once he loses his spot, and settles down to a role where he's not desperately pushing himself too hard, I imagine his numbers will level out again.
But you're right, he should go back down for a bit to work some shit out.

I'm hoping he does that every day...
or else he might be constipated.
