Around SBN: Win or Lose, Boston Celtics' New Big 3 Era A Success

Friday NIGHT Game Thread

So yeah, 6 PM Start on FREE TV - KCOP My 13 - Angels @ Rangers

Jered Weaver V. Sidney Ponson (seriously)

Vlad has a mild knee tweak and will not likely be playing...

An evening television broadcast of an Angels baseball game. I predict that in the near future, this will be a regular occurrence.

Pregame-Gasm Guesses

1. YES or NO: Will Jered Weaver throw a pitch in the 6th inning?

2. Name the Angel player who will reach base safely 3 times in the game.

3. Name the Angels pitcher who will finish the game.

Star-divide

From the Horses' Mouths

Guerrero's knee irritated

After A's reliever Keith Foulke sent him sprawling with a pitch high and inside during Wednesday's game, Vladimir Guerrero got his revenge by hitting the next pitch over the left-field fence for a grand slam.

But that pitch apparently had some lingering effects. Guerrero left Thursday's game after three innings in right field and two at-bats (including an RBI double) with irritation in his right knee. Scioscia said Guerrero told him he had injured the knee while getting out of the way of that Foulke fastball Wednesday.

"He felt fine this morning, so he didn't say anything," Scioscia said. "But it acted up on him again."

Scioscia said he didn't expect it to be a lingering problem, but Guerrero will probably not play Friday against the Texas Rangers.

Top 9th

Juan batting for GA gapper to left center, for 2 bases
Bourjos bunts the runner over to 3rd
Kotch robbed on a liner to 2nd, runner gets back to 3rd
Aybar sharp single to CF to score a run, 4-1 Angels
Aybar steals a base! Safely! And ball goes to CF so he makes it to third...

Wake me up on opening day.
