Scot Shields Shut Down
Mainstream Reporter Bill Plunkett blogged heavily from the Phoenix Freeway Series today.
According to Plunkett:
"Scot Shields has been shut down due to tightness in his forearm."
We also learn that Vladdy is still day-to-day with that sore knee and that an Angel-Dodger game draws a lot of fans. Plunkett summarizes the travels and travails of Angels starter Shane Loux ... and reveals that broadcaster Steve Physioc is bullshitter who lies about a player's name when he cannot just admit that Rex left the media guide in the sh!tter...

CRAP!
Big, fucking, giant, steaming...CRAP. Shields' arm was bothering him at the end of last season. It's still bothering him. That means he's not healthy, and probably won't be all year. The team's once formidable pitching staff is being steadily eroded before the season even starts. There's only so many injuries one team can overcome from the get-go.
I don't think Shields solved his off the field problem
from last year.... Spiezo anyone?
Stay on the damn bag!!
All these injuries could be a disaster in the making
I wouldn't be to worried if it was position players, but given the nature of pitchers, I am very worried.
Get rid of Quinlan
Excuses, Excuses, Excuses
Physioc awakes to scorpion bite.
Says his name mishaps was due to the bite.

Shields Could Start Season On DL
According to MLB.com, Scot Shields could begin the season on the DL. If that happens, Justin Speier would be moved up to the Setup role, with Oliver as the primary middle-relief guy, and Mosely/Adenhart, O'Day, Marek, Thompson and Bulger battling for the final couple spots.
I would prefer Mosely in the 5th spot in the rotation, with O'Day and Bulger as the relievers.
