He got greedy so we didn't sign him. Who was it that supported him when he was down?

Fairly mysterious non-tender.

Evidently we had an offer on the table, then withdrew it.

I speculate that Scott Boras attempted demanding a major league contract and a guaranteed job in what will evidently be a free agency year. We've got a lot of good healthy players looking for jobs.

That makes sense...

I guess he wanted to be sure he got a chance to play at the major league level instead of sitting on a deep bench this year. At least we didn't just dump him off... that was bothering me.

Is it just me, or is Scott Boras the most annoying agent in the business?

Well, we did kinda "dump him off."

Reagins withdrew the offer, meaning he was not tendered a contract......we dumped him.

From what I've read, he has a contract with Miami with a chance to compete for the 3B job, and a spot in their farm system if he does not make the big league club. He's still got to earn that job or he's in the minor leagues anyway.

I'm going to miss "angry-man", as my fiance calls him because he always looked angry when he was batting. I kept hoping he'd be able to get healthy and be that power bat at 3rd people keep pining for.
