World Series Predictions

I don't normally believe half of the $%!#  from ESPN reporters but Pedro Gomez has a pretty good feel for how its all going down this October.

East: Yankees
Central: Tigers
West: Angels

East: Braves

The Halos are the only team in MLB to have a winning record against Joe Torre's Evil Empire Yankees.

The East Coast will be all NFL come October as the West proves to be Best...

I'm agreed on Arizona taking down the Mets for a WS berth

And I hope we're there to face them. Let's see it... it'd be sweet to only have to drive to Arizona to see an away WS game.

Wake me up on opening day.

Hmmm...

Kansas City and Baltimore both making post season appearances? I'm not sold. However, I'll be the first to bow to you should that happen.

And I would like to see an Angels - Mets World Series. I think a lot more people would watch, and the media attention would be out of control- especially with two quality teams from the two biggest markets, both of whom always seem to play second fiddle to their respective cross-town rivals. If I recall, the all-west coast series in '02 had poor ratings, which really doesn't matter, but I felt that it was a quality series that should have been more watched and discussed. Angels - D'backs may have the same effect.

hmmm...

i dont see how you can pick playoffs without BOTH the Yanks and the Sucks. One or the other i can see, but there is no way both of them miss october. however, as red said, if i am wrong i will be the first to bow to you.

AL:
Blue Jays
KC
Angels
WC: Sucks

NL:
Phills
Reds
Padres
WC: Dodgers

WS: Angels vs Phills

Not only that...

but I actually WANT the Red Sox to make the playoffs. I want Manny and Papi to have stellar seasons. I want Becket and Dice to tear up American League hitters. I want Papelbon to be his general, annoying self. I want them all healthy all year. And I want to beat them. We've lost to them three embarrassing times in the playoffs, and I won't feel satisfied until they are defeated, with all of their players healthy and in tact. I couldn't give less of a shit about the Yankees. As far as I am concerned, we exposed them a long time ago and they have been silent under our rule ever since. But I want to meet Boston on our way to the big dance. Can you imagine the due respect that would come from beating Boston and then the Mets in the Series? Completely embarrassing and humbling the east coast is the only way I can imagine a second title feeling as good as it did in '02.

It would have to be on a 2-out 2-strike 9th inning 2-run shot tho...

a la 1986 that has the Halos eliminating the Red Sox... Papelbon takes the loss. Instead of a Dave Henderson-type character hitting it, let's select Reggie Willits to hit the homer near "pesky's pole."
