Tony Reagins is the cover story in the Apr. 10th issue of OC Metro.  It's a quick read dealing mostly with his rise to power in the organization starting with his humble formative years in Indio (a spinal cord injury in high school nearly ended his playing career in his sport of choice, football).  

It's fascinating and inspiring to me that Tony started his career with the Angels as an unpaid marketing intern (he was paid $500 for his second year as an intern) and now he's signing $90 million deals, albeit at Del Taco, for one of the most valuable franchises in Major League Baseball.

But what really grabbed my attention was this little nugget:

Bloggers went crazy offering their opinions on what Reagins’ first order of business ought to be. “Get us more slap hitters,” advised 1 fan on HalosHeaven.com. Another fan pleaded, “get a big bat, plz.” 

I've been frequenting this site for a few years now and can't think of a single poster who would say the Halos biggest concern was acquiring "more slap hitters"!  I'm pretty sure the overwhelming majority of us all agreed that a big bat was in order. 

Anyway, congrats to the Rev for once again his site has found its way into the sort-of-mainstream.  Cheers.
