Howie to the DL
Following Friday night's 5-4 victory over the Mariners, the Angels announced they were placing second baseman Howard Kendrick on the 15-day disabled list retroactive to April 14.
Bad news for sure, but Aybar seems to be picking up the slack. If only Izturis would start hitting too then we wouldn't miss him as much. Though I don't think either of them can really make up for a currently hitting .500 Howie.

Hopefully...
this is a 2-week thing and he returns at full strength w/o any lingering problems. I am afraid that it could be an injury that nags at him all year. He can flat-out rake and I don’t like him on the bench for any reason.
Maybe by the time he is activated Scioscia will realize that Kotchman and Howie need to move up in the order at the expense of GMJ and Cadillac.
i doubt it
but we can only hope…

Why can't the nagging and constant injuries
happen to someone who sucks. Where’s the torn knee ligament or strained quad for GMJ?
Why does it have to be one of the best young players in baseball?

We miss you!
