I mean, it coulda been 3 or 4 guys, but 8 innings, 96 pitches, 1 ER... come on.. you can't go wrong there!

But not it any painful way yet, thanks to Garland the groundball wonder.
Though there were a few balls Mice missed that I feel in my heart OC would have turned into outs.

It was 9-1, right, not 9-2. That's what MLB says anyways--I missed the end of the game (had to teach) so am relying on them.

i also think scioscia is the one calling the shots i'm pretty sure garret can say all he wants but in the end scioscia is the one writing the lineups. we'll see

But not as much as having Garland saving the rotation and the Izzy man given the chance to prove his stuff.
PS I'd like to join in on the "don't ya dare dis Anderson parade." When healthy, I don't think he has lost a step from his glory years.

OC is a great player, but what does doesn't equal the success great pitching will bring you.
You guys in California really do live in heaven, the Angels are in town for more than just six games and there is Jack in the Box within 200 miles.
Myspacscobar has only one shoulder...maybe he could throw left handed....?
What does "Panther" mean?
I keep seeing it thrown around in threads, but I don't get the Angels reference...

Great win
Great debut for Mr. Garland. Excited to see what he brings the rest of the season. He won't go undefeated, but as long as the defense is solid and he gets as many ground balls as he did last night we're going to have high praise for him.
And...as great as last night's win was, watching Putz blow the save against Texas was just as fun!
We'll be fine.
