ANGELS @ Twins pregame 3/162
Hokie Joe is on the mound and we got a win under our belt. Bet every hoochie in town has been in a jock or two of ours so there is little else to do but smack the ball around tonight and wake up early to do it all again before hopping on a plane ride home.
Pregame Pickage:
1. # of Angel Runs Scored in the first 3 innings
2. # of Twins Runs Scored in the game
3. # of errors committed in the game, total, both teams

also, by pre-emptively posting this horrible, horrible object here:

i do hereby undo any hex, jinx and/or un-sodo mojo that any Angel fan might seek to inflict upon our team by discovering this terribly ill-conceived, tragic, ridiculous fucking thing and heaping (justifiable) scorn on said team. the teal monkey must DIE. we have only recently discovered its pathetic existence, and it is instantly lower than anything in M's fandom, with the possible exception of Jeff Cirillo and $Richie$ Sexson.
thank you.

Think about it...
it was simply bad luck that the schedule landed him in Minnesota to open the season. He got his gold glove award yesterday (reportedly). And I am sure he is going through a lot of emotions in trying to separate himself from MN and prove his worth of $18M to his new team. I don't think he will recover from this until mid-next week, but I hope I am wrong in that it happens starting today.

Hopefully the start of yesterday's game is the last time we are not in first place.

REV:
Why don't the "Game threads" appear on the "recent posts" list on the sidebar?
by Downing Rules on Apr 2, 2008 8:55 AM PDT reply actions 0 recs
good question
Because they are pre-programmed and scheduled to post at a certain time, so the system differentiates them. I'm lobbying to sitch the Recent Posts sidebar box anyway, you think it is necessary, relative to, say, having a poll there?
by Rev Halofan on Apr 2, 2008 9:25 AM PDT up reply actions 0 recs
I like having the "recent posts" there...
it saves me having to go back out to the main HH page to choose fanposts or your main posts.
The polls need a link at the top of the page taking the user to a central location where all the polls are listed like the fanposts can be listed, also.

we won't be the only team in the division to deal with injuries.
I'm not up on their roster, who will be the closer for them, if they have the opportunity to close out a game.

The Mariners HAD two excellent replacements
in George Sherril and Rafael Soriano. But where are they now, hm? Fuck Bill Bavasi.
But then again, it's the 15 DL -- I doubt it's a huge problem. Only a rib issue, nothing to do with the arm/shoulders.

And incidentally, both of those pitchers
are now closers, for the Orioles and Braves, respectively.

You have not been trolling here very long, then...
We have discussed this at length here.
Aybar has amazing potential, can get to balls that nobody else can.
Makes the spectacular play, but, he occasionally can screw up the routine one.
That's what I have been hearing and seeing.

...go get a life for cryin' out loud. Stick to the Mariner's blog and make mention of the crappiness of Bavasi there. We had enough of Bavasi here. We are done with him and don't need you to reinforce what we already know -- he sucks. Goodnight now.
