Putz on DL after Jack
OK, so I'm still giggling about the possible headline after last night's Rangers-Mariners game (Hamilton Scores Game Winning Jack Off Putz), and I noticed that the M's supposed King of Closers is now on the DL with a ribcage injury. I think that's already one more major injury than the M's suffered all last year.
This Fan-Post is authored by an independent fan. Tell us what you think and how you feel.

Im glad...
perhaps the ridiculous injury free 2007 isn't going to carry over to this season, and they can revert back to general suckiness and annual disappointment.

It's quite an overstatement to call the Mariners "injury free."
Ibanez, Sexson, Felix, HoRam, Weaver the older, and a bevy of bullpen pitchers all we're injured for much of the season (and in Felix's case, after the injury his stuff and release point wasn't the same until near the end of the year).
But this is only a minor injury involving ribs, so I'm not hugely concerned. It's not like he tore his rotator cuff, or anything in his shoulder or arms.

The fact that Ibanez and Sexson especially never went
on the DL (which they very well should have) shouldn't be mistaken for a lack of injury.

Not only are you trolling...
but you're now replying to yourself.

Priceless.
Your post is the definition of having no response.

Oh it comes with a price....let me tell you.
;)

What's ironic
is that you're the one attempting to insult me. Irony.
by redwolf75 on Apr 2, 2008 4:20 PM PDT up reply actions 0 recs
I am asking you to go back to the M's blog...
no insults necessary. I expressed my honest sympathy for the loss of your Putz. Honestly, I don't wish injury on my worst enemy.
Please, pretty please, go back to LL. We have enough colorful individuals on our own blog site. If we want to get into the mind of a Mariners fan, we will peruse your site and read and then be gone without posting.
Also, I do not POST (my "loose" definition of a troll) at other sites, I merely clicked your screen name and saw the LSB comments in your profile. Welcome to the wonders of the new SBN format.
by Downing Rules on Apr 2, 2008 4:30 PM PDT up reply actions 0 recs
The wonders of the new SB 2.0
also include greater flexibility in posting on other blogs. Therefore if I see something I disagree with, and post in a civil manner, I don't see what the problem is.
But I guess civility was too much to ask for.
by redwolf75 on Apr 2, 2008 4:56 PM PDT up reply actions 0 recs
Now, if I was coming here
insulting people and making fanboy statements like "the mariners are in 1st, get used to it," you'd have a point.
Flagrant fanboyism is one thing that only belongs on one's respective team blog.

WTE
had a case of hurt feelings. Unless "suck" is now an injury.
by jjackflash on Apr 2, 2008 4:29 PM PDT up reply actions 0 recs
WTE being Weaver?
You've got a point. Lol.
According to the M's, he had "tendinitis."

Hope Putz gets well ...
we don't need the M's to have an excuse to suck. It would have been better when they started to perform poorly without injury.

My sentiments exactly
It always amazes me how many people accuse me of not being a real fan, simply because I want to see teams at full strength when we knock their dicks in the dirt. Playing the Yanks sans A-Rod and Jeter is like waging war against a nation that has no weapons or any real means of defending... oh, wait... never mind.

I actually wondered if he was injured
While watching the highlights this morning. His fastball normally clocks at 97-98, but was only hitting 93 according to the Network radar gun.

Costochondritis
He's got costochondritis, which is this weird thing that's kinda like a burised rib where your rib cartilage gets inflamed. I managed to pull off the same thing playing goalie in broomball, and it sucks.

If we can extend a temporary "PANTHER" to LSB user "slc ranger"...
for his fantastic post directed at an M's fan on their site:
I believe I hear Jeff...
calling you. Time to go home (fan's screen name withheld to protect the guilty party). I don't mind a ocasional comment from other sites fans, but stop trolling here.
This may shock you, but we really don't care about the Mariners here, we are Rangers fans.

I realize we have the right to post on other sites, but if it is always to contradict mainstream thoughts/comments on the other site, it is trolling.
This is my last post on this topic for a month or so, sorry for the blog clutter, everyone.

I don't understand the point of this post.
I know your trying your hardest to paint me as a troll. However, I hardly post on either LSB or HH.
Putz was injured, and I decided posted the news on both sites. And then came a stream of snide comments. I sure as hell wasn't the person "trolling."

Yea yeah, we ge t it.
So you understand the the concept of irony. Cool. We thank you for Jimi Hendrix, Nirvana, and the WTO protests, now go away... or I shall taunt you a second time.

Ha!
That was a good one! Thick skin and a sense of humor. Those years of supporting franchises in the Pac Northwest has done you well.
I wish it was like ten years ago, so I could ask you how the shift schedule is arranged for baby-sitting Shawn Kemp's illegitimate children.

Well you clearly can't expect better than ignorant asshatery from this blog
For the most part, at least. The response to any disagreement here is apparently a barrage of personal attacks instead of rational points. No wonder there are so many Angels fans over at LL, they sure do not get the same treatment visiting fans get here.
Are you just so hypersensitive that you can't handle someone telling you you're wrong? Y'all treat someone telling you Jon Garland is a disaster waiting to happen like they just called your mother a whore. Relax.

Don't take it personally
It's just that most of us are from So Cal, and well, we're very territorial, to say the least. Hence, the oft discussed gang problem, an arguable drawback to living in, if not the greatest part of the country, the best part of the state. And so, in sticking with the aforementioned gang analogy, your actions, at least to some of us, can be likened to a loan member of a crip gang, wandering into a heavily populated Blood neighborhood, and announcing that you're not there to throw up your signs, but rather to spout of numerous excuses as to why your gang has been so dominated, humiliated and handled like a scared child by the gang in whose neighborhood you have chosen to make said speech. Now, you are welcome to do so, but is it really a wise decision? Can you really be surprised when one or two of us reacts in the natural way in which this great territory taught us?

As my posts on LL would indicate
My own thoughts run more toward your position, that the interposting ability SBNation provides us is something we should feel free to use. Snide comments by the other users of the board, as well as suspicion of the cross-over person's motives are simply something that we just have endure though. It is inevitable, and will occur no matter what. I try to ignore it.
