If by some miracle of chance...
... I do ever reach these dizzy heights again, could you please label me ‘Woo.. Great Britain!’ rather than ‘Woo Europe!’ – No-one likes to be categorised (however well meaning) with the French, least of all an Englishman

An Englisman once told me:
“Americans should thank God for France, otherwise the British would have no one to loathe nearly as much as you all…”
Yes, but it's a love-hate relationship with you guys...
...we love you (most of you) most of the time (or at least some of the time). We just have a minor issue with your persistent torturing of our language and your general disinterest with matters beyond your shores that don’t involve the Pentagon.
With the French, it’s more of a hate-hate thing. 1000 years of on-off wars will do that to an international relationship (apart from the wine, of course, which we’re quite fond of, and the food, and the President’s new wife, who’s exceptionally tidy and whom I’d like to get to know much better).
And the Germans, can’t forget them, we don’t like them much either.

Keep your dirty u's
away from our precious o’s!
Food makes everything so much better. Food. Mmm.
Chart it up! Game on!
The U's are important...
...they give it extra flavour.
And anyway, I thought the language was called English.
I see red people
I think there is a drive to change the name to "United States-ian"
Calling it “American” might be too inclusive for Canada, Mexico and South America.
