Morales Up, Bulger Down
The Angels just recalled Kendry Morales and sent down Jason Bulger.
The Angels announced today that the club has recalled infielder Kendry Morales and optioned right-handed pitcher Jason Bulger to triple-A Salt Lake. The announcement was made by club General Manager Tony Reagins.
Morales, 24, has appeared in 16 games for the Bees in 2008, hitting .278 with three doubles and 16 RBI....
Bulger, 29, pitched in five games for the Halos in 2008, owning a 7.94 ERA with six strike outs....
The pitcher sent down when Rodriguez was called up was Alex Serrano, according to the Bees homepage.
The Angels need to stop giving us (I'm speaking as a Bees fan) pitchers in exchange for our hitters. How will the hot start continue if we only have pitchers to send out
Just kidding, of course.
Go Bees!

And on the 7th day...KMo
Guess they are happy with the bullpen now that Boot is back.
Maybe KMo can play a little LF for the slacker Anderson???!

You didn't just call Mr. GA a slacker?!
Ohhh, the pain, the agony. No,K3, not a slacker? Slumping maybe, but not a slacker?
Ok, forget the 100 rbi seasons. He carried us on his back for a month last year and helped to get us a division title. Then he had an eye thing, figgy was hurt, kotch had a relapse…....
C’mon K3, not a slacker.

Q is a midseason cut
I bet Reagins is working the cellphone as I write this and has been for some time. Interest is, most likely, tepid.

The LA Times said Torii had x-rays Sunday on his toe and Mike did'nt want to use him to pinch hit
in Sunday’s game. But it reports Torii went down to the batting cage under the stadium during the ninth inning to prepare to hit in case they wanted him to bat.

Didn't Hunter get into a fender bender on Friday night?
Did that have anything to do with him sitting out Sunday?

WTF?
Not understanding this move entirely, but I read this as
1) The Angels are happy (more than you expect but not enough to put him in with a lead) with Darren O’Day.
2) The Halos don’t really trust Bulger at this point.
3) Can there ever be enough competition for 1B/DH? Apparently, the answer is “no”.
If only Kendry could learn to play third, this could get interesting in a hurry.

Maybe it just means
They are a little more banged up then they are letting on and don’t want to be shorthanded with a long flight from Salt Lake to Boston awaiting an emergency callup…

Ooops, we have a 3rd baseman
The question is, who will be our 1b backup after kendry (or kotch) is traded?

Kendry
Forget about first base, but the Angels need to find out what he is capable of on an every day basis. He’s proven he can do well when given the opportunity to play [in the Major Leagues], but I’m afraid he’s going to be jerked around several more times before he sticks.

Sweet Nibbleits........We have Kendry replacing Kendricks HOT BAT
I hope he gets DH time with
Rivera in LF
Vladdy in RF
Junior in CF
Oh yeah and Sean Rodriguez at 2B, although Mice tits looks better and hopefully gets hot again and starts drivin in those runs.
Put Kendry Morales at 1B, and move Sean Rodriguez to 3B......NOW LETS GO WIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's a good time to be a Bees fan
16-1 record. 119 runs scored versus 61 runs allowed.
Matt Brown is tearing it up: .413/.443/.827
So was Sean Rodriguez before his call-up: .333/.464/.711
I think the success of our AAA team is an indication of the depth we have and why injuries have not decimated our chances.

Called up to sit on the bench......Freakin Scioscia send the kid back down and stop Fu@kin with Rivera. Play him or send him down to the bees so they can continue their crazy good run

SUGGESTION:
Acuda, why don’t you just go all out “Tonya Harding” on GA—that might get your boy Kendry some playing time. This will also satisfy your desire for GA to be injured.
Disclaimer: This post was entirely in jest, a poke at Acuda’s GA-anger.
