Indeed -- seems like it was the first time he's had a cushion this year
And he was cruising once the lads got a couple of runs across the plate. Weave has looked like he has been pressing too much in previous starts and trying to be too fine with his pitches, even early on tonight. Was good to see him be more aggressive as the game went on, esp. on 1st pitch strikes…

I think it was Shields saying that for getting the save, and watching the video twenty times.
Scioscia, "Roll the hole!"
Best record in the AL
On pace for 100 wins. Been playing over .600 since June 2006. Howie, Lackey to come back soon. Triple A team is like 22-1 or some crazy shit.
Nice, short, and to the point! :)
Excellent!
There's an old saying: 50 percent of what's going to happen, you have no control over. And the other 50 percent is going to happen anyway." -- Arte Moreno
UnbeWEAVEable! Great win, great road trip.
Jered was terrific to be able to carry a shutout into the 7th. Good zip on the fastball and nice snap to the curve. Props to Shields for strong relief, especially that excellent sidearm/laredo curve to catch Sheff looking for the K to end the 8th and the 94 mph fastball to K MCab in the 9th.

good call
on Weaver as panther. While a case could be made for Aybar and even Hunter, it’s good pitching that beats the Tigers.
Angels in 08!
props to t-hunt
but weav all the way.
booya.

Weaver
Also, 4 of 6 without our top two pitchers. It’s been a good April. Now let’s finish it up with 3/4 from the A’s.
POG Weaver
For showing that deception everybody’s talking about. Gotta love Torii also

anybody see
the graphic during the game about jered and run support?
apparently he’s 21-1 (22-1 now) when he receives 3+ runs in a game. thats just intense.
Here's to another season of baseball! Angels in '08!
Who would have thunk....
Goin against the Bosux and Detroit, who may be the best the east has too offer, we would finish 4 and 2, on the roadie!!!! I’m a happy camper, fellow Halo enthusiasts!!!!!!!!
YOU DON'T KNOW THE POWER OF THE DARKSIDE.....
I am very tired today...
...that game finished after 4am local time, and I’m struggling mightily in the office today.
Good effort by Messrs Weaver, Hunter and Aybar. He’s going to make a few mistakes this year, in the field with his over-exuberance and that cannon of an arm, but if he can keep his bat and his confidence going, our young Admiral may yet have the skills to take on the Evil Empire. More Aybar, less Eybar = an excellent infield from top to bottom (if they can stay healthy).
I see red people
