All-Star Team
Looking at the All-Star ballots released today, statistically Kotch and Napoli should both be starters. They have put up better number than anyone at their respective positions. Kotch's combination of power and average is unmatched in the American league, and nobody has come close to the 6 home runs put up by Napoli. If it wasn't for his hand and hammy problems, Howie would be right in the thick of the race at 2nd. Now we just gotta make sure they get plenty of love in the voting...

AT PRESENT
Vlad is the only nationally-loved Angel with the ability to get voted onto the team by the fans. If he is not voted on the starting team, though, I think this may be the season he is not named to the team.
At present rates, Saunders and Kotchman will go to the game and seeing as we play Boston on the weekend after the break you can bet AL All Star team manager Terry Francona will put any and all of our pitchers into the game!
that is smart of MLB
putting the hype of naming the playes closer to the event to maximize the coverage.
Vote early and vote often
I have never participated in the All Star voting. If it was one person one vote, fine I would vote. All Star voting resembles a Cincinnati beer hall putsch (the Reds in 1957 or 1958 had 7 of their 8 regular players elected as All Star starters). April is too early to be selecting All Star starters. Wait until “June is National Tavern Month” as Buddy Blattner used to say.
Rev, you cannot be that worried about Terry Francona utilizing every Angel pitcher he has at his disposal in the All Star game when there will be a full two off days between the All Star game and the Friday July 18th Bosox @ Angels second half opener. You are not doing a rain dance to postpone the Tuesday July 15th All Star game at Yankee Stadium that will push the game back a day by any chance?
no rain dance
We will be in Vegas for the HALOS HEAVEN ALL STAR GAME FESTIVITIES – please join us at our suite then to watch the game!
Pau Hana Time
We will be watching the All Star game on the telly in a beachfront condo in Kapaa on Kauai. If a rainout causes a one day delay we will be okay. We are out of luck if there is a two day delay because we will be flying back to LAX on July 17th in order to be at the Bosox series. I will drink a mai tai for you! Aloha!
"Is that Kapah-ah or Kapah-ah-ah? Are there 2 A's or 3 A's?"
Nick Cage in Honeymoon in Vegas…
Arte, please buy the Angels back from the Red Sox...they've owned us long enough.

2 A's
Kapah-ah is the correct pronunciation. However, I have worn 3 baseball caps with an A on them this year:
1) Oakland Athletics for Roger’s AA South Sunrise Little League team
2) Atlanta Braves for four games we saw in Atlanta in early April
3) Los Angeles Angels for 9 games at the Big A
Most frequently I will be found wearing an Angels cap. Yes, I will take an Angels cap to Kauai.
