Kotch Getting Props

So yeah, the SPORTS HUB L.A. wrote a great, detailed analysis of Angels First Base Man Casey Kotchman, insisting you get him on your Fantasy Team, which if you are in a league with me is impossible as I have hi as the starting First Base Man on every one of my teams (all two of them).

Despite all the Loney-Loving at the L.A. Dodger Times (subscription rate plummet now a loud whistling toward THUD), one Brian Kamenetsky penned-line sums up Kotch:

Like James Loney up the 5 Freeway, Kotchman is a solid enough hitter to put up big numbers at first baseman even if he doesn’t hit 45 homers a year.

I think Sports Hub LA is a little late.

I read game threads on other fan sites, and Casey Kotchman is talked about as much or more than Vlad is.

Casey is the perfect example of successfully raising a child from birth to be a proffessional baseball player. His natural abilities and instinct carry him over the top.

over Derrek Lee.

I drafted Mark Teixeira because he fell to the 7th round

and still got Casey on the waiver wire.

Somehow, despite Casey’s statline this year being .326/6/16 so far, I have only managed to start him on days where he has combined to go .258/0/4.

Likewise, though Teixeira is batting .265/4/17, I have managed to play him on days where he has combined to go .200/2/7.

This is sorta why I hate fantasy baseball…it keeps fucking with me, no matter how much I look for ideal matchups.

Kotch, Josh Hamilton and Saunders are winning my league for me

At the moment. I noticed Saunders increased velocity early and man is it paying off. And as much as I don’t like the Rangers, Hamilton is legit. The kid is putting up monster numbers, and I don’t think that’s going to change.

Willits for ROY! Oh, wait... Um, Kendrick for batting title? Yeah!
