Angel Stadium Opening Day Tailgating Thread

yeswecan has to to chime in on this thread with his Anaheim PD parking lot opus ... or he can just tell us all about going to New York City last weekend.

And my picks are mathematically sound: Figgins, Figgins, Rodriguez.

It is still free to park in Tampa Bay. But then again they average like 10K people.

OK...so I'll be tailgating in my own parking lot, here in Ohio. Just ordered a t-shirt too....so I'll be all official-like sometime next week.

but now am without a good parking area due to the closure of the old El Torito parking lot on State College and Katella. Time to pony up on the $8.

I only have tailgate festivities for football games. I attend too many baseball games in a season to tailgate before them.

I would park at the National Sports Grill. I would usually meet up with my party and eat dinner there first. Then I would hoof it over to the stadium from there. Many times we'd go back inside after the game too.

But now I just pay the parking fee.

he was about two months old so I had him strapped to my chest. We were tailgating in the parking lot. When it came to game time, my wife tried to smuggle some extra beers in the diaper bag....obviously she was caught and I had to take one for the team and go back out and drink the beers. The best part about it was trying to take a leak at the urinal with my son strapped to my chest. You can go ahead and nominate me for father of the year now. I'm still embarassed about that one and am not nearly as irresponsible as this story makes me out to be.

Try and leave a little early. There's a Bon Jovi concert at the Pond at 7:30. Traffic's sure to be a nightmare.

since i live north of cooperstown i dont get to the big A that much (at all) so i,ve actually been busted on two different occasions in sheas parking lot. first time the cop told us to drink out of paper cups and we would be o.k. tried tellin that to the second cop a year later and he handed us tickets for drinking but, certainly didnt take our beverages

Sitting in Section 503 tonight, so I guess it won't matter how stupid I get.

Tailgating during the 1975 season was the best. We knew a coulple of the Anaheim cops and they closed their eyes to our beer cans. It was the Hooch that made them mad. But.... we still got away with the hooch in the stands, hell we only had about 10,000 total fans in the stands. Oh, the old college days when we also eat the giant moths in the right field stands and beer was about a buck and a half!!
