The Rick Burleson injury
We gave up so much for him and got so so little in seasons that he would have put us over the top in.

his mental injury might have cost us the series in boston
which cost us the world series
the baseball world has been askew ever since
no team that would sell babe ruth should ever win anything

Gary DiSarcina's thumb injury in August 1995
On August 3rd of 1995, Gary tore ligaments in his thumb. He was having a sensational year as the #9 hitter, at .317/.355/.473 at the time of his injury. The Angels were 56-34 (.622) with an 11 game lead on that date.
Ain't no stoppin' us now. We got the groove!

disar
George Hendrick whacking Disar with a fungo, forcing us to trade a young catching Phil Nevin to the Padres for a no name shortstop.
Mo Vaughns flop into the visiting dugouts dipspit in his first Halo game.
The knife thrown at Joyner at Yankee stadium and whatever that illness was vs Boston
The high heel stuck in Chuck Finleys forehead. (I dont think it cost him innings though)
Whatever verdigo is happening to Vladdy right now!!!!

Downing/Lynn 1982
Who can forget the most famous Angels’ collision between left fielder Brian Downing and CF’er Freddy Lynn against the Royals in 1982
That sucked. I remember being 7 years old and listening to that on the radio in the back of my pops Cadillac….

Though it's not exactly the worst ever
it’s worth a mention: Speier’s mystery stomach ailment from last year that kept him out for months.

I agree
on the Bobby V injury, if we’re talking about baseball-related.
Didn’t Urbano Lugo have a bad injury? Ron Romanick? Joe Rudi was raking in ‘77 when he got hurt. Don Aase missed a whole season.
Tanana was never the same after he got hurt.
