What I really just don't understand

is where did the idea that Casey should be platooned even COME FROM? Like, where did the idea develop in Scioscia or anyone else that he should be platooned? He shouldn’t be used based on match-ups anymore than Alex Rodriguez or Vladimir Guerrero. A starting first baseman is a starting first baseman…he can hit, and should always be playing.

but still hitting the strike zone at an average/above average rate, then I can easily chalk that up to some jitters. Besides, half an inch off the plate or 80 feet off is still just ball one. Kid will settle.
