Angels' Dirty Laundry
Here's a pretty good article from the LA Times about the seamstress/launderer for the Halos. It's kinda sad... She does so much, but she only makes $10.70/hour. And doesn't get tipped by the players at the end of the season... Jerks.
I think it's worth the read... I won't see their uniforms the same anymore.
Hopefully the players read this and appreciate what she does for them. :)

Cool Job
Good article except for the dumb stuff about how much she gets paid and that she doesn’t get extra money from the playoff shares or from the players. There are all kinds of people that work for the Angels that are in the exact same situation…ushers, the people who clean the clubhouse, groundscrew, caterers, etc. It sounds like she gets paid about what other seamstresses get paid and she gets the perks that come from working for the Angels

seamstress barrio
I live in a seamstress barrio where any woman with a job works in a sweatshop and any of them would take a buck less an hour for the sweet sweet gig that lady has.

Then why does Robb Quinlan make more than 99.9% of the country?

NIce story
I always hope that the players would at least acknowledge some of the hard work put forward by us average Joes.

After reading this
I noticed Vlad’s screwed up piping on his sleeves as he was congratulating the team last night. Weird.

Yeah, she's replaceable and there are many other people that work at the stadium...
...but come on. Kick the little lady 20 bucks for washing your damn clothes.
If i were making the ludicrous amount of cash that even the worst player on the roster makes, Quinlan, I’d still be kicking tips back at people that I knew were being paid minimum freaking wage and were servicing me directly.
This is a good example of the hypocrisy and exploitative nature of the service sector in the US, where some receive tips and some don’t.

I didn't get a world series ring...did you?
Sounds like a quite fine tip to me…I should have done more home ec studies in hs and college!
Arte, please buy the Angels back from the Red Sox...they've owned us long enough.

That was Disney's decision, most likely
the players (most of whom were not part of that W.S. team) likely had nothing to do with that decision.
There’s of course no NEED to tip, but if you’re making 7 or 8 figures a year, the least you can do is throw a few bucks her way occasionally since she’s directly responsible for making you look nice for the camera every day.
