if Vasquez give aybar anything in the strikezone he is a moron
Brown is on deck…1B open
that's the biggest understatement since
well the Angels wore those hats for real
now.... maybe GMJ is hurt...
but like I said earlier, the lineup should have been as many lefties as possible.
Lefties hit Vasquez to the tune of .250 some OPS points higher than righties.
So far our lefties are 5-9 with a hbp and our righties are 1-6.
Nice night to give GMJ the night off Soth.
Still irrelevant.
Save for the fact that they apparently traded most of that outfield to Oakland for peanuts.

I dont understand what the point of having Matt Brown on the team is anyway
At least Wood has potential, Matt Brown’s potential is a AAA career.
Get rid of Quinlan
I think even here, people will agree with me when I say
I’d rather see Q at 3rd than Brown.
*Visiting Angels fan* Never give up, never surrender!
Wood atleast benefits
from AB’s in AAA. There is no benefit to having Matt Brown in the Majors. He simply looks horrid.
*Visiting Angels fan* Never give up, never surrender!
Zu said everyone would complain with Q or Wood
And I said I didn’t think so
Brown is huge step down from either of them.
Wood may not put up numbers right now, but he’s a legit prospect. Brown is not that young, and he’s certainly not good.
I'd bet money I could go back to the TB series and find a post of you complaining about Wood.
Am I on?
~Till the Halo burns out...
go for it
What I’ve consistently said about Wood is…
play him in the majors everyday
or play him in the minors everyday
but they play him sporadically, he does well in a game and then he sits on the bench so that Matt Brown can showcase his complete lack of talent.
Q looks good compared to this guy

i predict
matt brown gets demoted after this game. or at least he should be.
hurry back figgy!!
"Here we go baby, 'bout f***'n' time!"
wouldn't suprise me in the least
to see the Angels mess with Wood some more, and bring him back up for a few games after he just got sent down so that he could get sent back down once Figgy or HK is ready to come off the DL.
The Angels treatment of Wood the past 2 years has been pathetically bad.
By the way
Back when you were talking about Juice being in the game- who did you want him to replace?
Willits, Anderson, Guerrero, or Hunter?
~Till the Halo burns out...
Really, the .211 guy for the .298 guy.
Worst regular on the team for the second best hitter we have.
Really?
~Till the Halo burns out...
Vasquez OPS splits are SICK
its like a 250 point differential.
So you would support Quinlan in for Kotch on lefties with similar splits?
~Till the Halo burns out...
depends on the pitcher
if it’s a left-handed vs of O’Day I’d want Q in there over Kotch.
But the difference between Kotch and Q is a bit bigger than Torii and GMJ
Also, you ignore that the difference between hunter's OPS splits vs righties and GMJ's
is > 300 points
~Till the Halo burns out...
I'm not ignoring it
I’m just attributing that to sample size.
GMJ is a better hitter from the left side than the right. His numbers will revert to the mean.
We're fortunate both Konerko and Thome have legs made of lead.

Konerko pulls a piano on his back up the base line
Why are our management so in love with that guy?

OK Jeff, time to snap out of this funk.
We need you to get on base for Reggie.

Naps, I think I speak for everyone when I say I was hoping for more, there.

We got the fart machine Dave Parker.
Later released that same year.

That was a messed up year (1991). Angels had elite pitching, but a crap lineup.

man, why'd that have to go right to Swisher
Ebel had to hold him there
There are times when that high wall in Right-Center
is mightily inconvenient.

Vlad hits us a bone, good running Izturis.
Now lwt’s get it on Angels offense!
Scioscia, "Roll the hole!"
The real story here
is G.A. went opposite field.

Dotel was a good pickup by the Sox. His high fastball has bite.

Scisocia has Justin doing bullpen sessions
Not sure he’s really available.

Game wasn't on T.V. here
how did Garland look today?
by Caseys Kiss of Death on May 15, 2008 9:39 PM PDT reply actions
Shaky.
Essentially though he was screwed out of 2 outs by umpiring in the big inning.
*Visiting Angels fan* Never give up, never surrender!
He was OK
as optimist says, shaky … but he rallied to pitch his best inning in the 6th. And he got screwed by the umps in the inning the Sox scored the three runs. He was essentially out of the inning on a DP ball but the umps screwed him.
