If you could have any song played during the seventh inning stretch what would it be?
i guess some teams arent playing take me out to the ballgame during the seventh inning stretch...so i am asking what would you want to hear? feel free to put more then one song. or if you think that we should never change the song then feel free to say that.

Perfect!!!
Especially the last line in the final verse:
“Move as a team, never move alone… but welcome to the terrordome!”
Kinda sucks that Chuck D has said that “terrordome” was a reference to the 1990’s. But still…

I want to hear "take me out to the ballgame"...
Otherwise, just do away with the 7th-inning stretch altogether.
Arte, please buy the Angels back from the Red Sox...they've owned us long enough.

Bingo!
I hate to sound unpatriotic, but even the “God Bless America” singing during the stretch bugs me.

some places its cool
I was at Yankee stadium after the attacks (Ripken’s last game in NY), and God Bless America seems appropriate there. Would be cool in Washington as well, even though the team wasn’t there during the attacks.

I like
Take Me Out To the Ballgame, but would have no problem hearing Centerfield by John Fogerty, or Willie, Micky and the Duke by Terry Chapman(?) or one of the many variation of that song

Wha?
what teams aren’t playing TMOTTBG?
Why?
I agree with Downing Rules. If it ain’t TMOTTBG, then it’s not the 7th inning stretch. Just do away with it completely.
I like John Fogerty, and I don’t mind hearing “Centerfield” at the game, but it’s just not as conducive to a sing-along.

Rage's "Guerilla Radio"
Just start it at the breakdown where Zach whispers:
“It has to start somewhere. It has to start sometime. What better place than here? What better time than now?”
Then comes the chaos! Another perfect chant repeated until it ends:
“All hell, can’t stop us now!!!”
This would especially be great for the upcoming Dodger series, especially since the album the song is from was called “The Battle for Los Angeles”.

How about TAKE ME OUT TO THE F***ING BALLGAME!
I’ve been to two games now this year and they’re chopping the damned song off after the first verse. THIS IS UNAMERICAN. Seriously, people should be deported over this. All the way to Chavez Ravine. It’s a terrible, terrible thing.
In that spirit I’ll vote for:
California Uber-Alles (Reagan version, for the louder guitar)
Smells Like Teen Spirit
BASE! How Low Can You Go (or whatever that one was called)
Shake Your Rump-ahhh (or whatever that one was called)
I would also ban the playing of “Day-o” from all sporting events for 10 years. The end.

Tradition is worthless,
in baseball. It’s a dying piece of the past. When the almighty dollar says, “I can make you more money if we play teams from the other league,” somebody was listening.
As much as any of us don’t like to admit it, baseball will soon join the ranks of the sports which advertise on their uniforms.
How much longer until Chico’s Bailbonds and Ray’s Lazer Tag of Fullerton will be adorning your favorite team’s uniform?

26 rings = bragging rights... (NYY)
pre-2004 and no rings for scores of years = NO BRAGGING RIGHTS… (BSUX)
yet, the Sox fans talked much more smack at Angel Stadium than the Yankees fans.
That, quite simply, explains why I do not like the Sox and why I can respect the Yankees.
However, the monster was surely unleashed in that now they have something to brag about, 2 rings and making it even sweeter for them is that their first ring came about through a 0-3 deficit-breaking victory against their arch-rival.
