Tim Salmon

Hopefully this isn't a double post and the link works, but Kingfish was part of a four man tour with former Major League Baseball peers Jeff Nelson, Dean Palmer and Mike Remlinger in Afghanistan. On May 11, they signed autographs and posed for pictures with those men serving the United States. There is even a photo of Salmon with one of the servicemen posted and it is pretty neat for him to take a moment of his time to do what he did:

WOW

That is a hell of a lot bigger gesture than donating an autographed ball to a soup kitchen.

Not going to fall in line for the King Fish. Overrated by many of us Halo fans

I still say they ought to retire #15,

I don’t care if he has no shot at the hall.

Awesome move by the kingfish

but how in the hell are Nelson, Palmer, and Remlinger going to boost morale? Didn’t they spend most of their careers destroying it?

Don't call me Desmond

Well, Nelson has 4 rings.

And every single one of them got into an All-Star game, while Timmy, of course did not. ** Joe Torre, seriously.

Man, I'd been wondering what Tim was up to

Should have known it was something like this. #15 forever.

Very cool

Great find BB. It’s obviously very good of Tim Salmon to be doing this.

What a great story!

Go Salmon!

Arte, please buy the Angels back from the Red Sox...they've owned us long enough.
