he hasn't played 3ed since he was in cuba. I don't think he can at this level
I am a fair weather fan so the Angels better win!
I know he could
He wouldn’t be anthing but slightly below average defensively, but he’s showed more than enough at 1B for me to know he could pull it off
He fields grounders well, and has a accurate arm.
Wood and Brown are hitting better at SLC
If he can’t do better there, what makes you think he’d be better here?

he was actually here and capable in 06

yea. Morales isn't an all-star
But he did put up an ops+ of 111 last year which I know Brown or S-Rod won’t do.
because with Morales
I think it’s more mental, I doubt he is trying anywhere close to the amount he would in the majors, which is why I know he is in the Angels doghouse (heard this from a guy that knows Soth pretty well)
Mr Morales wants a word with you...
I doubt he is trying anywhere close to the amount he would in the majors
I seriously doubt a pro player would not try as hard at AAA. He is a young player and is still trying to find his stroke.
"At some point, a veteran player will more often than not find his stroke. You just have to show them a little bit of patience."
by Downing Rules on May 20, 2008 5:56 PM PDT up reply actions
Keep in mind
Morales is coming from a situation in Cuba where mothers would bring their children to Kendry just so he could touch them.
Do you think, just for a second that might think of the minors as BELOW him. I mean Matt Brown can put up on OPS of over 1000 in AAA and Kendry can’t even though Kendry has more power and has shown MUCH MUCH MUCH more ability in his Major League trials.
I know for a fact that Kendry is in the Angels doghouse for his overall effort.
for a salt lake team that is raking, there players sure haven done much this year in the bigs
shows you the difference between triple a and the major leagues.
I'd rather see Willits in LF

that was the correct time to tag up, not like Izzy did in the first.
Izzy needed to score on that one in the first if only so that the double play isn’t in order.
Naps does not get to hit.
This is fairly amusing.

yea NO one could tell me, that if Reggie set his mind to it
that he wouldn’t be a great 2B.
His speed is just what got him put in the OF at some point. He has the arm. He has the work ethic. At one point a long time ago the Angels were thinking of turning Jeff DaVanon into a 2B but it never happened. I would have loved to have seen Jeff at 2B! Imagine all the walks and homers from him they would have gotten.
HEY I have a great idea!

If Shields doesn't have it...
they why is Frankie not warming up for a possible 5 or 4 out save? Does Soth have to be so rigid and ONLY use him for one inning
well
stats like that are inherently flawed. The fact that he would be brought into a game in the 8th inning means that
A) the go ahead/tying run is already at the plate or worse on base
B) they are likely going through the heart of the order with a lead much less than 3 runs
'Now up 3-1'
stop sounding so excited about it, damn you Markus.
