Vlad.
Defense doesn’t help without 4 runs, all thanks to Vladdy.

Has to be Vlad. But S-Rod gets a nice shout-out defensively.

Kotch and GA
also deserve a defensive panther nod, but Vlad is THE panther.

Soth said in the paper Sean was the reason defensively we won last night.
Tonight belongs to Big Daddy Vladdy.

No vote on panther
Did not see the game all the way and voting for POTG without seeing the whole game is flat out pussy
Sounds like Vlad and S-Rod both had great games though …

says Fangraphs, and it’s not close, though Frankie gets Lieutenant Panther for his save.

Yeah, he had a couple.
Plus one almost-had it from Figgy that he made a great try on despite the chop block from Stairs.

Strike that!
Look at the box score. We scored 4 runs on 4 hits.
2 hits by Vlad, all 4 RBI by Vlad.
It’s Vlad. The defence is supposed to do its job.
Nice sucky win for Judy (I eat up innings) Garland though, if you’re a stat freak.

Would be nice to see Sean Rodriguez get a panth before he goes to the Bees when HK decides to stop smoking dope and reach …. I dunno … maybe 40 ABs for the year?

and almost bought a 47 jersey, but couldn’t justify it to myself without seeing him play for most of the season.

Amen Rev
I graduated from CSUF with probably the lowest possible GPA allowable. 2.000000000001 something. But I only went to about 15 classes that I can remember.
The getting laid was easier to do, and easier to remember.

More importantly...
Why is Naps batting in front of “all glove/not bat” Rodriguez? I’m tired of watching him get intentionally walked. When Naps is hot, he’s scary… they need to put him higher in the lineup to protect some of the other guys and avoid the no-brainer walks before he cools off again.

Nice. After 8 years on the list I finally came up for season seats for 08-09. So stoked. Not so stoked about the price of flights these days…

Vladdy, of course
I always root for vlad, especially when he hits two homers in one night. Just imagine if we had even more outfielders like him:

Marcum
He kept up his fantastic hits/ip. About 3 hits for every five innings pitched.
Unfortunately, he ran into Awesome Vlad. He don’t care how good you are.
Picked one out of the dirt, and another one that almost hit him.
I guess that wasn’t awsome Vlad. It was just normal Vlad. He’s back to normal.
So, since Marcum pitched Awsomely, and Vlad was just normal, I have to go with Marcum for Panther.
Way to go Vlad Man.
Young Angels - Proof is in the consistency. But I'll take flashes for now.

I didn't see the game, but...
no mention in this thread about Frankie’s shut-down 9th? The dude has NINETEEN saves! Wow.
But, Vladdy is truly the panther of this game.
