Whoah Dudes, Trip Out on This...
The Salt Lake Bees and the Fresno Grizzlies were scheduled to play at 7:05 PM tonight and the power went out at 7.
So, they waited until 7:30 and called the game. So get this, Brandon Wood was called up right before the game to the Angels (Matt Brown got sent down) and with the Aybar injury, we can assume he might be with the club for a while, okay?
Now follow me on this: He could break out big or do decent enough to warrant staying up at the major league level. He could get traded to a team with less depth and stick at the major league level. Wood is close enough that he may never play in the minors again.
Okay a stretch, I know, I know, but IF Brandon Wood somehow sticks for good this time... I have a ticket from his final minor league game Tuesday afternoon. I'm just sayin' ... it could be a weirdly historic addition to my Angels memorabilia collection (or as it is commonly referred to: Why does a man in his mid40s have a storage container of baseball shit?).

Um dont people get hurt in this place called "The Show" and have to REHAB in the minors?
Then it would not be his final minor league game ever unless he can stay healthy his whole career. And why do you think he is staying up for good this time or going to be traded? Do you know something we dont know?
Put Kendry Morales at 1B, and move Sean Rodriguez to 3B......NOW LETS GO WIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Other than the Above that would be SWEET.....for you of course.
I would be THRILLED To see Wood playing every day at SS and rotate Izzy and S-Rod at 2B and of course our man Chone at 3B.
Oh yeah, how bad is Aybar if you think Wood is going to be up for a while…or for good?

That was my question
How bad is Aybar. That determines a lot.
Wood gets another chance. He had better pick it up.
Young Angels - Proof is in the consistency. But I'll take flashes for now.

Just read at the team web site that Aybar is going to the 15 day DL.
They gave him a time table of 4 weeks but Aybar says he wants to be starting again in 1 week.
Then it talks about how some guys recover from the injury in 10 Days and others it can take as long as 4 weeks. Aybar is tuff and I know he will be out at most 2 weeks, unless Scioscia doesnt think he is ready.

It's time
They just need to stick Wood at SS for a few weeks and see what happens.
I don’t think Mice Tits’ D is going to cut it there.

agreed
aybar is out for a month (at the least). let S-Rod and Izzy fight over 2B until HK47 comes back, then let Izzy play backup to Wood.
Give Wood the playing time (with minimal pressure) to see what he can do. give him a day off here and there, but let him play everyday and see what happens. he can’t be any worse than S-Rod, who’s been playing basically every day for a few weeks now.
Bring up Wood!!!

Then Soth promptly starts him at 3b in his first game up!
Whassup with that?
Just curious, Rev you stated that, “He could break out big or do decent enough to warrant staying up…” So what do you guys consider “decent enough” to stay up permanently? A month of .235 to .250 with 3-5 HR’s? 2-4 E’s? Is that “decent enough?”
This is bad Vlad and his band of wimps!
