New Technology for Baseball
Just saw this on Fox Sports, They just had a summit/meeting in SF, and the Angels were one of 9 teams to send someone to it.
One other note - There is another Mat with one T

My favorite quote...
“Instead of saying, ‘There’s a hard smash to third base’ we could say, ‘That ball was hit 106 mph and the third baseman had a third of a second to react.’ ” says Peter Jensen, a statistician and summit attendee who has written for the Hardball Times, a baseball analysis site. “That adds some context that’s been lacking so far.”
Context? I can’t wait to see the MPH of GMJjr blasts/dribblers to 2nd base. Also, I can’t wait for the new box score and everyone using wacky math to predict the unpredictable.
Doesn’t it seem like baseball is the only sport that uses NASA scientist to predict what SHOULD happen based on their pie graphs, spreadsheets, D and D and ten sided dice and call it gospel.
