I will speculate that Vlad is hurt
The drop off of his numbers is too sharp to be simply age related. His K% is the worst of his career, as is his BABIP.
Vlad hiding an injury would be right in line with the Angels under reporting injuries (i.e. Escobar back in January when the MRI supposedly revealed “nothing material”, HK’s “day-to-day” back in April, Figgy, etc.)

I need to research this further, but how do they determine what constitutes a line drive?
Or for that matter, flyballs that are simply popped up to the OF, where the outfielder has to come in vs. a flyball that is driven to the warning track. I take those numbers with a grain of salt.
