Curtis Pride
We got an atlantic league team here this year. Starting center field for my southern maryland blue crabs….curtis pride.
I've got nuthin'...
Physioc say slight hamstring strain.
They showed a replay and Figgy came close to getting the Umpire’s foot all up in is private parts.
Scioscia, "Roll the hole!"
wow.
that ball looked like a pop-up to shallow right field. turned into a double off the wall in right-center.
"Here we go baby, 'bout f***'n' time!"
I really was expecting Rev to miss the game start today!
When he put the start time for the game at 3:53 EDT instead of 3:35 EDT in the header of the picks thread!
Someone forgot to tell Joe-Joe
that the Orioles are batting .243 this year.

I guarantee Willits catches that one blooper in LF.
GA is definitely more than a step slower than Reggie and GA plays the deepest LF in the game.
Wow I guess that coulda been a LOT worse
but damn the Colonel is sputtering
To quote Missus Halofan: MAYBE HE IS NOT A MORNING PERSON.
Ok I'm using my f bomb for the month and it's only the 4th
What the fuck is Reggie Willits doing sitting on the bench, so that GMJ (he of the .223 average) and so that GA can play LF (he of the .218) average.
If he is the one that went down to bring up Willits I’ll be even more upset.
Come on Saunders
Your high pretige and sterling reputation is on the line here.
Scioscia, "Roll the hole!"
I just don't want people to start writing bad things about him.
Words of encouragement.
Scioscia, "Roll the hole!"
not quite, GMJ would hit about 15 more homeruns a year than Willits
but Willits would get on base about 60 more times.
leadoff hitter my @$$
Great job Juicer!!!!

In regard to a recent fanpost, I am not the least bit concerned about
Angels hitting, not at all.
Scioscia, "Roll the hole!"
Wow, that ball was hit a LONG way
Awesome job Torii!
Hit the wall at the back of the bullpen b4 the bleachers...
CRUSHED!

Clearly this pitcher is ripe for the picking right now, and Aybar tossed away his AB with a bunt attempt before he could find that out.

remember those HUGE moths they used to have a ton of in the late 80's and 90's?
I think they are coming back in force, at least they were there the last 2 games I’ve been to.
But they were so much more worse a long time ago
I've noticed the moths coming back. Clouds of them.
But only the occasional game, so they come in waves. And none of them are the baby mothras of the 80’s. Something must be happening with vector control and the riverbed over there.
Not that I think Joe needs to come out, but
do we even have a long guy in the pen with Moseley not around?

I was wondering
When figgy is back and fixed, and if matthews does better in leadoff role (where his career year was), do you think we should bat figgins #2 and GMJ #1? It would end the problem of double plays and figgins can bunt and it would guarantee someone on base in front of vlad.
Any takers? Am I crazy?

Best advice from Butcher all year :)
“Hey Joe. Get a first pitch DP, and you are out of the inning”
“Okay”
Ain't no stoppin' us now. We got the groove!
Phys cracks me up
He said Saunders missed his pitch location by a foot and a half.
I watched it again, and Mathis called for a low inside fastball, Joe threw a low inside fastball that maybe drifted a few inches back in. Overall not a bad pitch. He got Millar to bloop it to the right side. Don’t use the result Phys to assume its a bad pitch.
you know what irritates me?
Q gets one hit and now we’re going to have to deal with him for at least another 8 years.
ok ok, that was exaggerated, but still. Anybody could hit a freakin homer today. the ball is JUMPING out of the field.
Bring up Wood!!!
Apparently
The Angels still have some Jarrod Washburn jersey’s available.. good to know….

Not sure what you mean
Scioscia likes to go 1 IP per reliever nearly every night. D.O. threw 11, speier, shields and frankie should get us through the next 3.
I don't say this enough.

Why the hell did Scioscia take Oliver out?
A lefty on lefty matchup would have been better
Get rid of Quinlan
Scioscia = stubborn
All he knows in Speier 7th, Shields 8th, Frankie 9th
The thing that sucks about Speier 7th, Shields 8th, K-Rod 9th
Is that it only takes one of them having a bad game to completely ruin the game… Like right now, it’s pretty clear Speier doesn’t have it, but no way does “Soth” take him about before he either a) gets out of his own jam or b) blows the lead
I have been waiting 8 years...
and i think we finally hae a nickname for our manager.

Best typo of all time for an abbreviated SCIOSCIA
Because to shorten his name it is almost impossible to spell out phonetically the first half of his last name in a way that makes ssense, you cannot specll it out like it is spelled as that has no phonetic sense at all and now i sound like a PHD candidate in linguistics, yeah?
no, you sound like you've had one too many Diet Cokes
speaking of which, that sounds good right now.
Speier must have had a HORRIBLE break to first
to barely beat Ramon Hernandez to the bag.
have you made a positive coment yet this season?
Robb Quinlan is going to come to your house and sit on you.
yep, everytime
I talk about Saunders, Santana, Figgins, Aybar, Shields, Willits, Hunter, HK, Kotchman
need some runs the way baltimore have kept putting singles on the borad
I'd rather see Willitz in LF
I've noticed that too
But then again it seems like most of Hunters homers come on breaking balls that don’t do so much breaking
Seriously though Rev

aybar 0-5. definitely never want to see him in the 2-hole again.
"Here we go baby, 'bout f***'n' time!"
Nice try Admiral.
K-Rod incoming. Prepare a fresh set of undies and have authorities standing by.
~Till the Halo burns out...
if you follow the pattern of the game this would be the inning where they would score
I'd rather see Willitz in LF
awesome game for the Halos
I nominate Q for panther!
His homerun
Was the winning margin and he played acceptable d today
Mathis a True Panther
His defense was awesome today!!!
DFA Quinlan
How can Street though 91mph fastballs right down the middle of the plate past people
Truly one of the great mysteries of life
I say give the Panther to Franky.
League leading 13th save, and not any other real standout candidates.
*Visiting Angels fan* Never give up, never surrender!
True.
But Frankie doesn’t get many games like this with no real standouts. Q could always go 4-4 against some lefty. Plus K-Rod has been picking up saves like hotcakes. Beyond the bad ankle game he’s given up just two runs in 13.1 innings, while picking up 13 saves, many of which are 1-run.
~Till the Halo burns out...
No offense, but the fact that Frankie is ultimately a
much more productive member of the team and also never gets recognized.
*Visiting Angels fan* Never give up, never surrender!
Panther for Frankie. If he blew that, it would have wasted the previous 8 innings.
Ain't no stoppin' us now. We got the groove!
Saunders
Panther – he pitched well enough for others to bail him out.
K-Rod
If he had a one-two-three inning, striking out the side on nine consecutive pitches, then he might get some consideration. Other than that, he just hasn’t been good.
Except for leading the league in saves.
And having failed to lose a game we’re leading for more than 2 years.
