We're all going to Vegas for the All Star Break

save your pennies, I got us all cheap ($25 a night for 2 nights) rooms, announcement coming later this week. We are getting a suite to watch the game and CUPIE will be defending his penny slot tournament championship.

I think i’ll be there…but probably staying at my parents’ guest home they have there. Which is kinda sucky, since I LOVEEEEE Fremont st. I’m the unofficial King of Fremont. Dude, the bar there called The Griffin is sooooo cool, right next to The Beauty Bar.

The Griffin is cool.. never got to drink there, but i was the purchasing agent on that job.
The company i was working for at the time did The Griffin, we also did Hennessy’s. (on the corner) I did all the purchasing on both those jobs. Goodman is trying to clean up freemont a bit. (he should be worried about naked city)
Just thinking about vegas gives me a instant hang over…...

BTW – There is another Griffin in the Valley. Virtually the same. (better)

The Orioles series have been some of the more entertaining threads

so far this year. Our usually serious Angels fans seemed to have lightened up a bit. It helps when we are winning with our guys hitting, fielding, and pitching so well.

I’m glad we are’nt sullied with the bitch and moan fests that characterize other sites I have visited. The goodwill that we extend toward each other sets HH above all the rest. What the Angels organization stands for is reflected in its fan base.

Lame to reply to your own comment, I know ...

but tonight’s win leaves us tied with the Chowds for best mark in AL, while somebody (the Mets) finally beat the Snakes, meaning there are no longer any teams with single-digit losses in baseball. And only five teams over .600 (us, Chowds, Cards, Cubbies and Snakes).

I’m guessing that two of those teams will still be round about the .600 mark at season end. Any guesses which two? :)

i’m usually here but sometimes late
i’m away from home for two to eight days in a row
when i get home i can’t look at halo’s heaven until i’ve watched all the games i’ve missed
i’m often cheering at 3am about something that happened three days ago
i work for amtrack. if working the surfliner i have to look at the floor in anaheim so i won’t see the halo lights
still waiting for another trip on the sunset limited so that i can collect my big ass beer on bourbon street from bigeasyhalofan in new orleans for torii’s slam
oh well, being marked absent made me feel like i wasn’t representing enough
thought i’d emote (whine) a bit

The best part of the weekend

Life with a preschooler means that I’m usually catching up on the game later in the evening, and rarely live. Plus I have to watch the Brewers, too, which means I have 6+ hours of baseball to ffwd through most nights. But that’s okay. I still got to watch the Halos kicking tail this weekend!

AWOL from computer ...

... during all 3 Orioles vs Angels games. I was at the Big A rooting for the Halos. The only game of the 7 game homestand I did not attend was the Thursday night Oakland debacle. I would grade that as 85.7% attendance for the homestand. That would be a “B” in Mrs. Zuniga’s math class.
