he is a career 296 hitter with over 2000 hits and 1200 rbi’s all for the Angels. i think people need to give him a break…and lets not forget he got the game winning rbi in game 7 of the world series
I like GA as much as the next guy
(probably more than half the people on this site) but if he ain’t helping the the team, he’s hurting the team. As far as pulling out the numbers from the past, besides Scioscia, would anyone defend Steve Finley based on his performance prior to coming to the Angels.
If he thought he was hurting the team
he’d step aside. The point is: he has earned the right to be the one to make the decision. Gamer, all the way.

The problem with this logic is
most athletes don’t step aside on their own, usually the game tells them it’s time to leave because they’ve stayed a little too long. I think Garrett still has something to offer as a middle of the order bat.
I was just pointing out that previous performance doesn’t always merit the oppertunity to play

What?
It sounds PERFECT to me. We miss their best starting pitcher and only have to play the game if it was vital to postseason chances? Sounds good to me.
I wasn't aware of the "if" rule.
So I did a little research and the best I could find is that if the game has no implications on the playoffs then it might not be made-up. Nothing definitive there. Would love if someone could fill me in on that.
Anyway, no need to yell.

it seems like it is just thunder showers at 50% so maybe they will be able to get some of it in
