MLB's Model Franchise

Hello to all fans of baseball. I am here specifically to find out, in the baseball fans op- inion, which franchise is the poster franchise for Major League Baseball in terms of talent, integrity, and fan treatment. You may select from all 30 MLB clubs. If the MLB was to select one club to represent who they are and what they were about, who would it be? Thank You for your cooperation, and good luck to whomever you may root for!

Anybody from any SB Nation site can vote in polls.

a better question

is who voted for the reds…?

by Sorbo182 on Jun 14, 2008 4:24 AM PDT up reply actions   0 recs

bostons won 2 titles in 4 years

im pretty sure most of us would love to have what boston has, its part of the reason we hate them so much. i hate their fans but im not delusional, I understand they are put together very well.

ya, they have the payroll. But they also develop their own talent really well. they even had enough to trade arguably the best player in the NL(hanley ramirez) for beckett and lowell. and still have elsburry, bucholz, lester, masterson etc etc etc.

we can say their prospects are overrated, and im sure some are, but who are we to talk? Our top prospect, top-5 baseball america guy is hitting .120 something in the bigs

It's not just on-field

The poll says “Talent and INTEGRITY” (emphasis mine).

hmm

For something like this it would be neat if this one poll could be linked accross all the sites. Of course the Angels will slaughter all here.

by elricsi on Jun 14, 2008 8:27 AM PDT reply actions   0 recs

that might make this poll intesting…tho I suspect LAA would still be top 5 and maybe 3

This is bad Vlad and his band of wimps!

Just use fanshots, after you click to join each site you want to post this on.

Install the “share on SB Nation” on your home page top bar and you can place your poll all over the place with one click to each site.

your poll was too much at once with a lot of ingredients that did not go together and it gave me heartburn.

by Rev Halofan on Jun 16, 2008 12:57 AM PDT up reply actions   0 recs

Why is collecting fans opinions a bad thing?

not trying to jump on you at all, i’m just wondering why you think this of the poll.

Rodger Lodge and Dave Smith are the two best radio talk show hosts in the country. Period.

by hunter48 on Jun 14, 2008 7:05 PM PDT reply actions   0 recs

because it is not an insightful question

On a website of angels fan the answer chosen most often is obviously going to be the Angels. Fans are biased, thats the nature of being a fan. It’s like putting up the poll question who is the best pitcher in baseball with one choice from each team. Halos heaven would yield the overwhelming result of John Lackey, but it doesn’t really provide any insight other than angels like their own players, or in this questions case, angels like their own franchise best.

i unsderstand that, and am currently working on posting

perhaps you should have given the reasons you think that the angels

have the best franchise
then asked why your views are wrong or right
put that out to the general population

Who goofed? I've got to know.
