Soth: The Villain of Washington DC
The Nationals fans still hold Soth in contempt for the June 14, 2005 Brendon Donnelly pine tar incident.
This happened, as I'm sure we all remember, at a game where Donnelly was brought in to pitch in the seventh inning and was tossed before he threw his first pitch. Jose Guillen, who was in the outfield for the Nationals, tipped sixty nine year old manager Frank Robinson that Donnelly used pine tar on his glove. Robinson alerted the umpires, and Donnelly was tossed when a substance was found in his glove.
A heated argument ensued on home plate between Soth and Robinson regarding the use of pine tar, and Soth threatened to have each of the Nationals pitchers checked or "undressed" before they came to the mound to pitch. During this confrontation Soth "bumped" Robinson causing outrage and accusations by Guillen that Soth was being unforgivably disrespectful to Robinson. The benches cleared briefly in protest of this whole affair as Donnelly was livid and throwing a fit for being thrown out of the game.
e chigliak, at Federal Baseball, is encouraging his few followers to never forget and never give in to this atrocity, and boo loudly when our Soth is introduced at the beginning of the game in DC tonight and anytime Soth is visible on the field. We will bear witness to the power and hatred of the Nats villagers during the game tonight. Those HH's in attendance must report back the carnage.

I was at that game
It might have been the toughest loss I ever attended. I lost all respect for Frank Robinson after that, and guess what – the Nationals organization DID TOO !!!!!!!! The man is an outcast in his own village. Like Joe Morgan, a great player becomes a fossil by outiving his usefulness and letting the mouth “Represent” ... The Expos need villains, though, let them boo a great man to ensure karmic klasslessness for a generation to come…..

I was also at this game
waaaaaaay waaaay up in the cheap seats.
This was one of the worst Angels games I’ve been to due to factors such as me finally getting the giant hotdog from the right field pavilion and immediately having it bumped from my hands. After placing my required condiments and seeing the enormous thing fall to the ground I nearly lost it. Then the benches cleared and I had no clue as to why. And to top it all off the Angels lost to the parasitic Guillen & Co.
It was not a good night.

Like the Nats have anything else to cling to
Let them boo. We all know he’d be at the top of their list.

Huh
Average attendance 29,251, up from 23,998 last year, and despite a much worse winning percentage (.390 vs. .451).
Witty .sig goes here.

He was projecting out to 2011.
