you know whats really funny. when our two starters go down, lackey and escobar, they were practically dancing at LL. they were dancing actually. but when their top 2 pitchers (bedard and felix) we dont rub it in thier face or parade around. I guess its because bedards just sucked this year, and felixs injury (thankfully) is very minor. so grow up Midwest and stop trolling (yes, you are trolling if you insult the team and the author of the site) and if you really are an Ms fan, then how come you havent even joined their site yet?

ok, felix is a good pitcher
but….
a) his team is up by 4 runs, and no need to risk injury for 1 run
b) he was covering the entire plate without realizing that carlos beltran was running as fast as he could to score
c) he didnt have the ball
d) he didnt give beltran anywhere to go but through him
e) he didnt have the ball
f) he didnt have the ball

To be fair, part of it was his catcher's fault.
He had time to flip Felix the ball, but didn’t seem to consider it and just dove for Beltran instead. If he gets Felix the ball, Felix has time to turn away.

Wow.
I just listened to Terry and Rex call the game during my drive home, and they are making a total hack of the broadcast tonight. They are getting facts wrong, names wrong, words wrong, stuttering all over the place. It’s noticeably embarrassing.
For example, (according to Rex) did you kinow that LoDuca is unavailable for the game tonight, due to an injury he is rehabbing? No? You didn’t know that? Apparently neither do the Nats, who sent LoDuca up to pinch hit about 10 minutes later.

They sounded distracted, as though there were girls in the booth with them.
At one point Terry was trying to compliment Lackey on getting through so many innings on so few pitches, and half-way through the phrase “pitch efficiency”, he said “piss effic…”
Hud tried to make a point about how tough it was for the Halos to be facing Bergman, whom they had not seen before. But he forgot Bergman’s name and stumbled and hemmed and hawed for about 10 seconds until he could look it up. Terry called Sosh “Mick Scioscia”. Terry started to call Howie “Kotch…”.
And on and on it went.
