Vintage Troy
For those who cringe for the sake of doing so, when our current closer comes in, who said former Halo god Troy Percival didn't cause his share of ninth inning jitters for fans?
It is one game, but it shows Percival had his moments, even if he still ended up closing out the game.

Fortunately...
he had a 3-run lead, so the point was moot. Frankie’s last blown save was a one-run “cushion” making the run given up much more significant.
But, I surely remember a lot of Percy meltdowns, as well. Not sure why so many here are feeling this nervousness for the first time this year with an Angels closer.

I remember once...
I sat in the diamond club and single-handedly caused Percy to blow the save. The place cleared out in the 9th and I moved up to the front row so my kids could see me on TV. I was glaring back at Percy as he stared in to the catcher (Moolina, most likely). I look a bit like Percy (I’ve been stopped about 10 times for autographs), so it must have been weird for him to look in at a guy who looked exactly like him.
He proceeded to blow the save against the Indians and the Angels lost the game.

Well, now I know who to collect $100 dollars from to make up the bet I lost on that game.
