what's weak?
the meaning behind that phrase that you probably don’t know about or the fact that I get a cheap jolly out of posting that?

it’s says its supposed to be in HD, yet my FSN West HD has colored bars and that god-awful sound

Shields and Vladd sent to So Cal to visit Dr. Yocum, Figgy's return delayed most likely until Monday
but the article on angelsbb.com says
that he wont even rehab til Monday… which means he wont be back til the Braves series.. or the Mets. whichever comes first
Let Wood play!!!
I think he means rehab

2009
at least, I guess. That’s when the no-trade goes away, I believe.
I wonder if they’d finally bench the guy if his average dipped below .200. He has gotten awfully close a couple of times, but each time he’s fouled things up by getting a hit or two (even worse for his possible benching, they’re clutch hits), and buys himself another week or ten days of playing time. I wonder just how long the Soth can continue to make excuses for him, saying he’ll work it out, etc. The fact of the matter is that he has never been a good hitter. He was a lucky hitter once, in 2006. When they keep saying they know he’s capable of more, it is very frustrating. The fact of the matter is that he’s probably not capable of more. Not at this point.
Look at his comps on baseball-reference.com. Just about every one of them (with a notable exception or two) completely imploded at his age.
bleh
but im tired of him now!! lol
i really hope he has a better 2nd half… otherwise, he’ll be our kryptonite come October
Let Wood play!!!

Very weird
His velocity is just fine, but him giving up a homer to a righty is bizarre.

Hi Ladybug
Spent yesterday down in SD watching the Cubbies kill the Pads. It was almost like watching a Mike Scioscia offense, with a pair of double steals in the game and a couple more solo bag swipes besides (Michael Barrett can’t throw out anybody). Except for the three home runs. I haven’t seen the Angels do that in a while…
Witty .sig goes here.
Almost gave up extra bases after the homer.

Every series we’ve played against them this year, one of their players has teed off on us. First Ibanez, then Sexson, now Lopez.

Ribcage
the paper was reporting some sort of rib cage issue with Shields. The good thing about this was that it was not an arm or leg thing. I assume that’s why Shields is there, too.
Pulled his Oblique

there should be a rule for starting pitchers
if you suck really bad in one start, be better the next time out

All things considered
Weaver got out of trouble pretty effectively. Wish he wasn’t getting into it so much.
Witty .sig goes here.
How about another 3-run inning guys?
I didn’t get to see the first one. :(
~Till the Halo burns out...
i missed it too
i turned the com. on and it was 3-1. i thought the game started early of something
I'd rather see Willits in LF
that was a good inning for weaver to build upon
first two batters get on then you get the next three out without any damage. now it would be good if our offense gave him a little breather
I'd rather see Willits in LF
casey come on
enough with the first pitch outs . this guy is only going to need 320 more pitches to finish the game
I'd rather see Willits in LF
Eh. When you hit it hard and far like that
it’s tough to complain. That was a double to the wall sans Ichiro.
~Till the Halo burns out...
i am watching on gamecast
so for all i know it could be a groundout back to the pitcher. thank you for the clarification it does make a difference. one day i gotta buy mlb.tv

Yeah, it makes a difference when you can watch it happening I think.
I didn’t realize it until I started using it all the time how much the stats don’t tell you about the flow of a game.
~Till the Halo burns out...
i am going to document every time gary swings at the first pitch
so far he has done it both times up
I'd rather see Willits in LF
now i will say something positive

Eh.
Casey’s first 100 MLB ABs weren’t so great either. Hopefully, Wood evolves and adjusts as he did.
~Till the Halo burns out...
luckily for casey when he came up he was up
brandon has had to split time with figgins/ izzy and Q. but in mikes defense it is tough to leave him in there when we have no offense production. maybe if everyone was playing well it would be easy to let him work through it. but the current stretch has tried everyones patience

Looking at his BA splits for this season prior to that hit
.199 for the season
.169 vs. RHP
.159 @ Home
He’s getting almost $100K for every .001 of his @ Home BA.
Not pretty
55 K’s and 33 hits this year
Seattle I would like to thank you for sucking. It allows me to get back to my roots: Hating Fremont.
i wonder what will happen to him after this year
some team might take a chance on him but i imagine it will be a short incentive riddled contract. some team like the rockies or padres perhaps

He's not hitting that much worse
Than Andruw Jones did last year. Maybe 2 years/$34M? Does Ned C. read these threads?
This sucks...

willits
we need speed leading off thats why he starts him we have people hurt so he is our only hope
I wouldn't go that far
We have injured players, but I wouldn’t call Willits our Savior. I’m certainly glad he plays for us though. Hooray for a little bit of depth.
i think if willits had gmj at bats he would be doing better
poor guy has spent most of the year on the bench
I'd rather see Willits in LF
that's better than a no guess, right?
I just like to play it. :) I can’t watch the games here in Kansas and I don’t have the League Pass. It takes creative interneting just to see the games at a terrible resolution with Japanese announcers.
That was a pretty solid hit to the hole.
Ichiro has had some bloop hits, but that wasn’t really one of them.
~Till the Halo burns out...
have you seen how tall he is
it only takes him 4 steps. it is however his first time that far in almost a month

He's allowed 5 runs.
That’s bad no matter how quickly he gets outs at other times.
~Till the Halo burns out...
anybody look at the A's game recently?
A’s winning 9-2. and for the second game in a row, its this C. Fossum (135.00 ERA) thats eff’d up the game for the Kitties.
"Here we go baby, 'bout f***'n' time!"
They picked up Casey Fossum?
That is bad
Seattle I would like to thank you for sucking. It allows me to get back to my roots: Hating Fremont.
And then disregarded the results of his first game to use him a second time.
~Till the Halo burns out...
Not quite as bad as Rick White by the M's last year
Remember him? McLaren brought him in in that big August series and the Angels just pounded him despite a 10.something ERA. And he did it again the next day, too.

Silva Sucks
Time to score more runs. I’m not terribly confident that Oliver & Speier can keep the M’s off the board.
I'm wondering if Willits will ever be an effective leadoff batter
I was checking his numbers out from leadoff and he’s really pretty mediocre.

As long as his presence in the one slot takes the pressure off Izzy, who can keep hitting this way.

~Till the Halo burns out...
I remember when you used to wonder whether Santana would ever pitch well on the road
It’s just a freaky split early in a player’s career.
6 one pitch outs Ga(2), izzy, kotch(2), napoli
4 two pitch outs GA, HK, Wood
thats a total of 10 outs on 14 pitches
I'd rather see Willits in LF
